New NVIDIA drivers
-
I was one who also had to stick with the 306.97 drivers after getting a performance hit with the 310.90.
I installed the new 314.07 Drivers today and I am experiencing the same performance hit and stuttering. I am going back to the 306.97 release once again. This puts some of us 2 releases behind.Drex

And your VGA is?

I had stuttering problems fixed by using a fps limiter, using the option vertical sync half refresh rate also cures the stuttering.

You can also try the 311.06 release ( found on the catalogue Microsoft update. Driver N° 9.18.13.1106 )
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=9.18.13.1106%20.
No specific optimisation for new fashion games. Built to be strong.

Hi,
where does this stutter?
-
No problem here with those drivers.

64 Bit? for GTX 660?

64 bits, GTX 580

Will try, will give feedback in a while

GTX 460 1GBDDR5 on W7 Ultimate x64
With 306.97 it runs smoothly up between 30 and 50 fps even in high particle situations. With any higher driver stutters start as soon as I switch on MFDs on ramp start or look at any surface glaring from sunlight

Hi,
which is the best driver for gtx 660? And depends exclusively on the nvidia driver?
-
Thanks for the info guys.
306.97 is definitely the winner for me too. Anything newer causes the same stuttering here (550Ti)

Running the latest driver, 314.22 with GTX570 without any problems.

Happy with the beta 314.21 (no stutters with BMS, see my settings in the topic "170 fps…) in 3D surround (2xGTX670). Tested with RBR, F1 2012, FSX VRS, DCS A10C and BS2…

314.22 working better than last ones for me… not perfect though, still some stutter at certain places, like Kimpo taxi at night p.e. or under certain lighting conditions (at dawn and dusk it gets worse sometimes) Some of my mates at E69 report same stuttering as before, others say all is working fine for them with this driver release.

So i upgraded to 314.22 specs are i7 3770 , 16gb of ram 1600, NVidia i550 TI (asus) .
Major stuttering and drop in frame rate flying on Sinai 2.2 ( especially near cities and green areas ), the frames drop mostly when flying low alt .
Tried all kinds of combinations and reverting to 306.97 cured the problem at stock settings ( no special config for the .exe ).
From what i can see newer driver improve performance mostly on new chipsets and new games. Maybe this weekend i’ll upgrade a bit at a time and see which version starts the issue.

no need just read backwards this thread, it’s posted.

Hmm so 314 pork things–is this definitive?

Hi,
[I’ve posted similar question related to SweetFX, but theres more to it - it’s a Card/driver problem I guess].I got a new GTX 680 after years with ATI cards.
Running the latest Nvidia drivers (314.22) - I get micro stutters that were never there with ATI (5870) on the exact same system.
I used the new drivers (314.22) then reverted to 306.97 after searching the forums, but I see no difference.
I tried to tweak with BMS/Driver settings with little improvement but still did not lose the micro stutters.
tested only in ITO which had no problems before, nor any other theater I used.
Edit: tested also in Korea takeoff training, with/without a second monitor, and no change - still micro stutters! My specs: Win 7/64, Asus P5Q, Q9550@ 3.07GHz, 4 GB RAM, GTX 680 2GB, TIR3. running on 2 monitors with MFDE and BMS internal display extraction on a 15" monitor.
I know my system currently bottlenecks the graphic card, but still, I played it on the highest settings with no problem with the older ATI card.
(not to mention that with SweetFX it’s unplayable at all with heavy stutters and massive FPS drop).
Is ATI more “BMS friendly” than Nvidia?? I had no problems with any ATI card or driver in BMS…Please HELP!
