Installing BMS somewhere else then C drive
-
Hi guys I have a question
Can I install BMS somewhere else then the C drive? my C drive is only 89 gb and is being used be other things.
Now I try to install BMS somewhere else on the same drive as falcon 4.0 is installed, but I can’t install BMS because it is looking in the C/ drive for Falcon 4.0. Can I change that?Error I get when trying to install:
The registry entry points to a folder that does not contain a valid Falcon BMS 4.33 install. PLease restore the missing files and try again or remove the registry entry(HKLM/software/benchmark SIms/Falcon BMS 4.33) To be able to install the prodcut again. Path: C:falconBMS 4.33/

You can install BMS elsewhere. I have my BMS 4.33 on Drive E: which is my second SSD drive.
You need to use the registry cleaner here:

….
Same here …. but it’s my ‘I’ drive.
You have to put the install files on the drive you’re going to use, iirc.

I already have it on the same drive. I have 3 folders in it, Steam GOG games which is where falcon 4.0 is. and the BMS folder with installer.

You Dont need “Falcon 4.0” installed you only need to be able to point the installer at a valid “Falcon4.exe” which is on the original Falcon 4.0 install disk in the “Program Folder” (Just that one File saved some where)
If it was a failed BMS install you may need to fix the registry. If you had it installed and the decided to move it you should have “Uninstalled” it correctly by running the installer again.
And then you would not be having a problem. -

Nope. My install stuff is on a separate HDD.

Well that should have worked.
