Hi,
[I’ve posted similar question related to SweetFX, but theres more to it - it’s a Card/driver problem I guess].I got a new GTX 680 after years with ATI cards.
Running the latest Nvidia drivers (314.22) - I get micro stutters that were never there with ATI (5870) on the exact same system.
I used the new drivers (314.22) then reverted to 306.97 after searching the forums, but I see no difference.
I tried to tweak with BMS/Driver settings with little improvement but still did not lose the micro stutters.
tested only in ITO which had no problems before, nor any other theater I used.
Edit: tested also in Korea takeoff training, with/without a second monitor, and no change - still micro stutters! My specs: Win 7/64, Asus P5Q, Q9550@ 3.07GHz, 4 GB RAM, GTX 680 2GB, TIR3. running on 2 monitors with MFDE and BMS internal display extraction on a 15" monitor.
I know my system currently bottlenecks the graphic card, but still, I played it on the highest settings with no problem with the older ATI card.
(not to mention that with SweetFX it’s unplayable at all with heavy stutters and massive FPS drop).
Is ATI more “BMS friendly” than Nvidia?? I had no problems with any ATI card or driver in BMS…Please HELP!

Running the latest driver, 314.22 with GTX660Ti without any problems so far…
Tested with MFDE in fullscreen and windowed modes
Works with IL2-COD TFv1
Not sure if it works with Assassins Creed III yet, which its usually UPlay thats the gating item. -
I have a 680 GTX but with an i7 and I don’t see micro stutters at all. And I must say I am VERY sensitive to micro stutter, enough that I don’t run an SLI setup.
I have seen some micro stutter in other games like oblivion, which I DIDN’T have with my very old 8800 GTX, interestingly enough.I doubt it, but are you sure it’s not low FPS actually instead of micro stutter? Have you used fraps to check your framerates?

Hi,
I’ve used the in game FPS counter and frames are between 40-60 in Korea.
I’ve reduced object density to 5-4, no change….EDIT : Uninstalled and reinstalled all fresh into SSD. No Joy… Help……
Any solution??

new drivers 320.18

thanks for the heads up…
The 614.22 made MFDE work in fullscreen for me without a hitch. I hope this trend continues with these newer drivers

Still having stuttering issues with the new one, going back with 306.23.

Running BMS with new driver 320.18 without any problems.

as far as the core version remains the same probably it will be the same.

Trying these on Gainward gtx 670. Need to set pre rendered frames to 1 to have smooth. Stuttering on default.
Perfect in Dcs, Arma3 on default.
Win7 -64bit

Installed the new nVidia drivers 320.18 and tested on my two BMS installs (U4 and U5) and everything was fine, including running MFDE. Frame rates were the same AFAIK, so I think the improvements were tweaks for the games they listed on the read me. Nothing new for BMS from what I see. Mileage will probably vary a little bit for different rigs and configs. Im running a GTX 660 Ti off a Q6600 2.4 Ghz dinosaur. Getting around 35+ in the 3D Cpit and 50+ external view at 1920x1080x32 Win7. (I use the takeoff training mission at the runway as my consistent measuring stick.), with MFDE running. Note that MFDE costs me 10-15 fps (20-30%) if I run off the game PC, and almost nil if I run it off a second PC.
