Hi gentlemen
I have noticed that when installing the F22 add-on using the “Joe Labrada’s F22 OCI” and if you do not have all theaters I have provided the f22 to, the installer does not work (installs) properly the files.
I helped the User "Voodoo1 " with an issue, and noticed that the installer did not install the necessary activators, or the needed “*.dat” files.
Voodoo1 has told me that he had the Israel theater installed before the installation of the F22, and IF you have any issue like that, or one that looks like it one, I think you will have to add a new “3dcockpit.dat” manually, untill we fix that issue in the installation.
I would like to apologise in advance all users that may/might have any kind of problem with that.
Please, always let me know about something wrong that may happens with the F22 3d files, and I will do my best to fix it.
Best regards

MetalheadThank you so much for helping me yesterday! In case anyone else is having issues using the F-22 in the Isreal theater, you need to go into the F-22 3dckpit.dat file and change the following numbers to:
// the LOD models to use.
cockpitwingsmodel 3150; // the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitmodel 3151; // the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 3152; // switches and knobs
cockpitmodel3 3153; // displays
cockpitcanopymodel 3154; // Canopy modelKeep in mind that this only applies to the Isreal theater. If you go back to the Korea theater, you will need to use the original 3dckpit.dat file……so make sure you save a copy!

**Hi gentlemen, I would like to announce that the F-22-BMS-07-07-2013 version IS available to download in the skydrive, but only for those who will install manually using lod-editor.
For the OCI version, I will upload it in the next weekS. Please OCI users take some patience that it will be ready as soon as possible.
Some changes were made, and it will be explained in the manual that is not ready yet.
Added “pilot reflexion” in the glass canopy
I hope all you enjoy this new version.
Best regards
MetalheadPS: Download link in the first post**

Can you make a video about the features and functionality? What about a description for integration? I can see parent numbers in the dat file.
cockpitwingsmodel 3120; // the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitmodel 3121; // the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 3122; // switches and knobs
cockpitmodel3 3123; // displays
cockpitcanopymodel 3124; // Canopy model
mainmodel 1331; // the primary model
damagedmodel 1288; // the damaged modelThere are seven parents, but in the pack there are only five numbered cockpit LODs. Which should be use for which parent?
What about the 3D model of airframe? Which should be applied on which LOD?
About textures, are there 8 or 12 texture sets? As I see the stuff supports the license plates?
-
cockpitwingsmodel 3120; //model number one the 3d cockpit wings model
cockpitmodel 3121; //model number two the main 3d cockpit model
cockpitmodel2 3122 // model number three switches and knobs
cockpitmodel3 3123; // model number four displays
cockpitcanopymodel 3124; // model number fiveCanopy model
the airframe, (external model) must be replaced by the model named F22 external moldel medium poly ( lod1)
and the lod2 must be replaced by the model named F22 external moldel low poly
I will write a new manual, but you can also download the “F22 install tutorial videos” from the same folder in the skydrive
Skydrive>FalconBMS files>Tutorials>F22 install tutorial videos
I cannot make any video now, because I am using a bad computer( slow speed, slow memory, etc ) the videos when made, are not sincronized video and sound… sorry
hope it helps you

Hey I just installed this for the first time, using lod editor and the tutorial videos. There is only two things that changed, I think the tutorials are still good.
The changes are about the txt files. In the tutorial when editing lod 1 you can see two separate txt files with names like “f22 blabla…input” and “…output” but in new version there is just “f22-textures-SETS.txt” so use this file and that’s it. Then, at least I assume this is correct? But later when editing lod 2 you need to do a similar move but use the file “f22-lod2-textures-SETS.txt” - which is not at all in the tutorial video. But since this file is there I think I need to use it, just do a similar step to when edited the lod 1. I hope somebody can explain this better. (at least I think this is how it should work)
I just some quick dogfight tests and everything looks good so far. The only question, in the middle MFD there isn’t maybe suppose to be a RWR? For me there’s nothing there at least it’s a black screen, the RWR is working and gives sounds but nothing is displaying, can only see RWR graphic if I do it in left or right MFD, not sure if it’s how is should be?
But anyway really good job this was a lot of work I think so good job 8-) I especially like all the reflection in the glass, now you always feel you’re in the right plane haha
Edit/ To make the RWR working, because it is turned off right now in the 3dckpit.dat, (you have to edit both in bms\Data\Art\ckptart\F22 and bms\Data\Art\ckptartn\F22), there is series of line with a lot of numbers that start with:
hud
pfl
ded
//rwrHave to remove the two slashes before “rwr” and it now will be in the small top left mfd. And that’s maybe even better than center mfd
-
There is no “RWR” in the F-22 and if you really needed one just put it on an MFD

Yes, that’s correct.

Yes, that’s also correct. The texture-sets.txt files are there for making possible the changes in the “tail marks”(squadrons, etc) The reason I added this new file, is just because when you fly with a wingman, at some distance, you saw the F22 with other colors, “for example”: RED color. This is not good, so you have to apply the texture set to the lod 2 as well.
I hope somebody can explain this better. (at least I think this is how it should work)

If you want to see the RWR, you must add it to the MFD of your choice, Left, or Right. I would add it in the center mfd, but I could not find a good way to do that, There are not, or I did not find a good F4-switch for adding that. (the job is still in stand by, and someday I will find the a good result.)
But anyway really good job this was a lot of work I think so good job 8-) I especially like all the reflection in the glass, now you always feel you’re in the right plane haha

yes, this may work, BUT, the RWR, will be shown over the warning lights signals that are there in that smal MFD.IF you do not mind that, fell free to remove the slashes. IF you did not like that, simple, rewrite the slashes back there again.
I hope I helped you with that. Sorry if My english is not good enough, and if you do not understand something. Fell free to reply, and ask whatever you want about this F22 raptor.( not the real one)

There is no “RWR” in the F-22 and if you really needed one just put it on an MFD
When planning what to do in the MFDS, while animating, and adding the F4-dofs, and F4-switches, I had in my thoughts, to place the RWR in the same MFD as radar. This would work as fake, as we can see in some pictures in the F22 (real one) cockpit. The radar and the rwr together in the same MFD
Later on, I found out that it is not possible, Either work one, or another….
There is no possibility to work both Render to texture in the same MFD. Well it did not work for me.

hi metal head, i’m sure that this work is very good, but i have a question, which is the link for download the F-22 cockpit? skydrive or Joe Labrada link?

The Joe Labrada link if for the one click installer. That will put the 22 into most theaters for you, however if you have added anything (Skins, models, etc…) They will be lost with the one click installer. If you open that skydrive you will find the package which is for manual installing. That of course is much more complicated and should only be attempted if you are familiar with LOD Editor.
-
already have you tried it this cockpìt?
-
yeah i have installed now!!! really good work metalhead, but i have other question if you can answer me, why doesn’t work the central screen???
-
Answered by PM, because I have read it first today.
-
yeah thanks brother

Keep up the great work!!!
