Two Seater F-16 DJ

I run MFDE for all the gauges except for the MFDs and the DDE. For these two, I use the BMS extractor. I have always used Windows Mode on a single computer with 2 screens. Are you saying that you can run MFDE in FS if you don’t use the BMS extractor? I use the BMS extractor for the MFDs because I had to many instances of the MFDs flashing when flying and sometimes freezing up. By the way, the RWR and the HSI in MFDE also freezes up from time to time. There doesn’t seem to be any solution for the freezing other than to close MFDE after each flight and not turn it on until just before the flight. Any comment? -
This is slightly off topic, and is covered in the MFD threads, but briefly:
I don’t export the steam gauges or digital displays (i use AIC to display on my G15 LCD), and only use MFDE for MFDs displayed on USB LCDs. This works on one PC in standalone mode or host/client with 2 PCs. This works in FS or WIN modes. In this use model, there is no need of the BMS built-in extractor.
Your using an AMD video card, so I’m surprised that you’re having problems, unless its related to running both extractors off the same PC concurrently. If you are, that’s a path I’ve not travelled.

Hi bumerang,
Great work. We had a lot of fun while testingYou wrote:

No, Track IR is not working on back seat. TopGun View is a fixed view. But in your video you can see how you turn your “head” slowly. Is it a fake or possible?
btw: Because the pit is not so nice, Tomcatz is constructing constructed a new 3D-Model:

when the pilots head turns, it is not based on where the player is looking. it is coded into the sim to have the pilots look around.
-
I did not mean the head movement by the pilot.
I meant the view of the “IP”. His view turns slowly to right.
Look video 3:07 to 3:11 -

I do not remember turning, he used for different view positions the another top gun views.

Please check video at 3:07 to 3:11.
In this sequenz he is watching to the 2-Ship-Formation on his right site.
he would use the Topgun-View, would be the head “rotation”
stepwise. -
I think a very old video editing trick. He set smaller frame size than the recorded videon the he use the pan option, simply moved the center position of the rendered video and changed the size of rendered frame. I used the same in my training videos sometimes if the resolution was not an issue. If you check the video you can see how bigs the pixels are, because he was not able to change the FOV and the view angle.

hmmm, would have been nice.
is it possible to change the x, y, z - position of the orbit camera
or this function is hardcoded? -
Orbit camera is not top gun camera. IMHO it seems to much easier whatI recommend. Making a new 3pit for F-16D and set as the eye view to sit in the backseat.
