Morphine's Profile

Where can I get a copy if the file?

See first post.

Hi Morphine,
may I ask what OS you have? I have no troubles with running your profile on Windows 7 64 pro, but a friend of mine isn’t able to run it on Windows 8. This has nothing to do with your specific profile, problem is, that with any profile loaded, falcon will suddenly no more recognize the warthog HOTAS - but it’s there, if you look in game controlers. So the question is if anybody manage to run profile with falcon in Windows 8?
-
I’m running on Win 8 with no problems so I’m pretty sure it can be done. I don’t think I understand what the specific problem is from your description. Did he get a new computer with Win 8 pre-instralled or did he upgrade from Win 7? And if he upgraded, did he do a clean install or try to upgrade his current installation?
One observation about Win 8 is that it is much less predictable in how it numbers the Direct X devices. Thus his Warthog could be device #3 rather than the first device which is how the profile is programmed. See post #148 for further details.
-
Thanks a lot for this info. As far as I know it is a new computer with pre-installed Windows 8 - at least now we know that it can be done at all.
I have no clue what could be the problem. Thought of numbered directX devices too (or puzzled USB ports), but I didn’t thought of that this could actually affect the pure axis assignment. The approach in post #148 is worth a try anyway. Will report back.

Ok so it’s the axes that aren’t working properly. Are they working in the Windows “Game Controllers” panel? Also are they working properly in the TARGET Device Analyzer? If those are working then it must be some problem specific to BMS. If it’s not working there then you probably have a driver problem and need to reinstall the drivers. Has he tried it with any other games?

I am noticing when taking off my plane starts to drift off to the left as speed builds up. Is this due to the fact I am not using rudder pedals or could it be the small dead zone included in the WH 2.O profile?

I bet nothing to do with the profile, probably asymmetric loadout.

Most likely lack of rudder pedals and your lack of steering capability. Dead zone should have no effect.

I don’t see how lacking rudder pedals shoud have such effect?
-
I was wondering the same thing but I am not tracking straight down the runway. I was thinking it might be a strong cross wind.

I read his message to say that this was happening while he was accelerating while still on the ground and not in flight (where asymmetric stores would definitely cause rolling as you pointed out).

Even with no wind the jet will need some slight correction while accelerating during takeoff (even if you have started at Takeoff or Runway). The proper procedure is to line up in the center as best you can… apply power and make a small correction as needed… after the jet is going faster than ~60 knots, switch off the nose wheel steering and now use the rudder pedals to continue to make small corrections to maintain the centerline. All of this can be done with the keyboard but it will take practice.

Oh ok. My apology.

This I’m afraid has nothing to do with “profiles” for any particular HOTAS. I believe what you are experiencing is wind/ground reaction. IRL pilots use rudder to get down the runway straight.
I can only imagine if IRL you set down the runway going over bumps and creases in the concrete to think it would still track straight.
*note - will also do this is your HOTAS isn’t centered, or no dead-zone in your rudder and it sticking a bit as the X-52 does
Yes, BMS especially F-16 is modeled after the Real-Life
my 2 cents

That makes sense I just never had the issue with my Cougar. I am pretty sure the stick is centered but I will check. Seeing that once I am in the air and level off I can take my hand off the stick and the plane stays level it probably is centered.

Your controller ID has changed. You probably plug some new controller in or change the USB port you connect. See this: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8147-Morphine-s-Profile&p=202779&viewfull=1#post202779

Ok I change the ID controller……I unplugged every usb controller, after that I plug joystick and run control panel and set as my favorite controller, after that i unplugged the joystick and I did the same operation with throttle and rudder control pedal, follow this way I adjusted my ID controller…so I can use again Morphine’s profile…Sanpats thank you for help and support and Morphine thank you for profile

I just got my warthog. I have never used TARGET or BMS. I downloaded TARGET and the two files for the Warthog (FalconBMS-Warthog and Warthog_DX.key Where do these go. I opened them both in target and when I open the game it says I am using thrustmater combined but I have no controls and nothing is mapped.
I need the most dumbed down version possible to help me please.
Oh does having the throttle and stick plugged into the same usb port via a hub mater?
