Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
-
this is an amazing app thank you.
I have a few issues though
On the left MFD buttons
19 and 20 are not assigned
on right MFD buttons
19 and 20 are not assigned
I use a prifile for my x52 and I chose that for the find key file in the server
How do I add these keys to work correctly and still keep full function of the x52 key profile?.
Thanks
P.S
there is a load more yellow keys as in not assigned on the server window but for now there not needed
EDIT
Ok managed to do it now sorry.
There is one really cool thing though network introduces lag I was wondering if it would be possible to allow data transfer VIA USB cable I have my cable plugged in for my nexus 7 if you could do this it would probably run as smooth as the MFD`s do on my pc.
Thanks again this is an epic app

Hey,
Did you try changing your rate on the App setting screen? PM or call if necessary.

Links on first page (of this thread) is working for me. Are you selecting the latest version for the PC and Tablet?

i have it running and when i go ātesting partā and āsend msg to androidā and āsend img to androidā all is well.
so do i turn off testing part next and run bms?
when i launch bms, the server on the pc immediately dies. is this normal? after than nothing seem to work on the android side. i guess iām missing something here?
iāve tried both exiting and not exiting the testing screen, same result, as soon as the game loads, the server quits.
one important note, i think i skipped step 11b
Step 11 ā b: Important, start Falcon BMS and go into the cockpit first. After entering the cockpit, select the āStart Reading Falcon MFDā button. You should see the following screen
i have no idea what to do here. what does it mean āstart Falcon BMS and go into the cockpit firstā? i started the game and went into a tactical engagement but the server crashed.

i updated new server version 2.0.0.1
Pleas download latest server version.https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?16247-Falcon-MFD-Software-for-android-tablets

thanks.

just execute FalconMFDServer.exe file
-
i changed the update time on the android device and there is still lag makes moving the curser rather hard as its laggy
My main pc is wired but the android device is via wifi off course
is there no way to allow data transfer via USB as it would help ?
-
just execute FalconMFDServer.exe file
thanks, that works.
but i have the same problem, as soon as i go to takeoff in bms, the server on the pc dies. any ideas?
also, i am the owner/developer of some music teaching software called tabtrax http://2112design.com/
i wrote a feature that allows the user on the pc to send music scores automatically to tabtrax running on android. the pc server side automatically discovers android devices running the tabtrax client on any android device on the local network. no need to enter ip address, its fully automatic and works well. if you are interested i can give you the c++ and java code
thanks for all your work on this, steve

i found a couple of problems, first off, i selected bms.key on the MFD server but forgot i had keystrokes.key in bms, so i tried to change the server to bms.key but it complained about unassigned keys (even though its a statdard installation)
so i change bms to use keystroke.key and that helps
then i tried starting bms and going to the tactical engagement screen
then start the server and then start android app
then go server testing mode and enter android ip
then check msg and img, both ok
then press read āstart reading falcon mfdā
then in bms, takeoffnow one time i did this and the buttons on the android became active, would switch the mfds etc. but there was nothing coming back to the android, the mfd displays were not updated.
iāve also tried the following.
start bms, go launch, tactical mission, 03 - landing, commit, in āmission scheduleā screen
start server
start android app
server testing mode, enter ip, send msg an img, ok
press āstart reading falcon mfdā (nothing happens in server)
in bms takoff
in flight, buttons on android are active but mfd display not updatedcan someone please given me a step my step guide as to the exact order to start off the server, the android ap and bms. iāve read the docs 20 times but canāt figure it out
thanks, steve

Firstl you dont need to press any button on Testing Part.
run apk on android , enter setting parts and change ip with your server ip.
than close apk , and start again.
If every thing is okey you should see green light on server (Lf MFD Active . . .)But you have a bigger problem.
press āstart reading falcon mfdā (nothing happens in server)
Server can not read your Falcon Data.
Which operating system using. -
win 8.1
i start the server, then i start the apk, then the 3 greens light on the server, so its connected right?
but there is no button 'āstart reading falcon mfdā on the server startup screen, the only place iāve seen that is on the testing
part pageplease explain exactly what order i should be doing things,
thanks for all your help, steve

komurcu thanks for the app mate its great
did you see my message about a possible wired version though USB?
Or is this not possible?Thanks
edit ummm it might be that the curser movement on me android is slow because I noticed that when I have fcr and TGP running I am only getting 22fps that is why its laggy maybe?
how can I get more fps but not loose to much eye candy?
though saying that the curser movement on the actual computer screen is smooth even with 22 fps? its just laggy and slow on me android screen even if I set update time to 50 and not 100
-
i tried your way,
i just start server -OK
start apk -OK (3 green on server indicate connected ok right?)
start falcon - OK
start mission and it works - (no, the server quits and then shortly after that, the apk tells me connection to server lost)maybe its a win 8.1 problem?
I dont click start reading falcon mfd etc it just works for me
