Have you ever tried to run Helios or MFDE in network mode on the Surface?

335.23 on GTX 670 silksmooth with FOCUS SHADOWS unchecked. Only unchecked focus shadows all other eyecandy on and silksmooth. Finally! Bye bye 306.97!
That’s very good news! I’ll give that a go then, thanks

I have only initial experience, and on a new i7 system (but not fast one), and it looks very good so far. Smooth is they name of the game. New features also, new kind of vsync (“smooth”?).

What graphics card TKorho (Ghost)?
And no, I have not tried HELIOS and MFDE on the SurfacePro2. I could, I have both, but being a mobile platform, I don’t think hooking up additional monitors (and carrying them) is practical. For the $1000 that a Pro2 costs, its a great mobile solution but not a good bang for the buck for a home based system. In fact, a powerful laptop is probably a better gaming platform than a Surface Pro2. I bought it for other purposes than gaming, but was pleasantly surprised that BMS ran on it well… especially considering its an Intel vcard and drivers.

My laptop has GTX670M, and chassis only GTX 295 - my GTX 470 was burglared. So tested with the first two systems only.
Will upgrade to 770, but not right now…I’ve used side displays also on the laptop, it was not that bad. If used for instruments only, they run pretty easy also on mobile system. Alas, the 670M works only dual head, so I used Matrox DualHead2Go for two MFDs. That also worked well and fast enough.

Just updated to the Nvidia 335.23 WHQL driver pack and I’m very happy with the results for BMS, running BMS 4.32.7 (24") + Helios + MFD Extractor (22" touch) on one GTX 670 FTW 4GB. Tried them with most of the theaters and with all loads I get steady 30-60fps, so very happy with this update.
Needed the driver update for some other newer (DX11) Windoze games around

Is FBMS even on the radar for nVidia?

Is FBMS even on the radar for nVidia?
Don’t know! Tried several updates after 310.90 WHQL but all failed for me. These 335.23 WHQL are the first set of drivers keeping my Windows 8 stable enough to enjoy, so I updated to these from 310.90.

Pushed the envelope to update to Nvidia 337.50 (Beta). Slight performance upgrade 40-60fps, running BMS 4.32.7 (24") + Helios + MFD Extractor (22" touch) on one GTX 670 FTW 4GB. As mentioned earlier NO focus shadows.
Stable in all other Windows applications / games.- Cheers

Did you only install the drivers or did you install the whole package as a CLEAN install? Did you compare the On / OFF focus shadows with these drivers?
~ Cheers

337.88 works fine for me everything on including focus shadows on. SLI AFR2 GTX 580’s.
-
I install ONLY the driver and the PhysX with a clean install. Experience is the same version. FOCUS SHADOW OFF still. Freeze and glitches with it on. I dont mind. Silk in both sims now
-
Runs great, all details maxed out. GTX 660 here
-
WOW great guys! Now we can finally run BMS and all other Windoze sims/games with the latest drivers for DX11 available! Thanks nVidia
Is it now time to update to Windows 8.1u1? What Windows are you guys on? I’m still on Windows 8.0. -
Win7 here, must skip 8
-
Same as haukka81 :-). I´v tried Win 8 and uuuhhh…:-) Emotions aside. Its most certainly a great operative system, but I just feel lost and get frustrated and from what I´v heard computers should be of service to man in the most suitable way.

For me Windows 8 Pro x64 is the most stable M$ OS I ever worked with, except for the GPU drivers from nVidia  They can really drive you nuts! The more additional features/apps e.g. ShadowPlay nVidia bakes into the drivers package, the more things really go bad with the drivers and I hate that. But, let’s give the 337.88 a shot, agreed?
