Was reading about Tinian Island this evening and the amazing time the island had during the latter part of WWII, particularly North Field. Just flew over the island in my viper and saw it through new eyes. Thanks for the great work, really enjoying this little theatre. I imagine it will be real fun to re-invent North Field as a fictitious active base today, built around Runway Able and the old bomb pits

Demer Fit’s like a glove…
Have in mind I ain’t that good on 3ds. I made all from zero. From zero to Falcon took me less then an hour.
The texture can have Ultra high detail and the model can even have more elevation alterations.
For the rest u can create a mesh with about 32 points that will represent the terrain points per 1km.U can create flat all your airport and then snap to terrain mesh… to those 32 points and u can have a full airbase with multi alteration on elevation on rwy txy and park areas…

demerP.S. You may want to take a look at Changs (CCC’s) early development work for ITO AB’s. Where in he was developing the AB “MODEL” in situ as an entire Feature on the objective… remember PHD\PD data exists on the wire frame, not the pretty pictures.

Arguijan 3d island looks cool and real - but it only shows up/popup at closer distance suddenly.

thanks for taking the time to sight see!
As far as the Crashlogs they are generically auto-generated each time we start BMS. They have nothing to do with your installed theaters.
Your CTD upon exiting that did not produce a Crashlog is usually due to a bad model in the Database……I did not check the Database “On the way out the Door” as this is just a Dev copy.As far as “Arguijan 3d island looks cool and real - but it only shows up/popup at closer distance suddenly.”
I already knew.
I left it as a feature on an “Army Base” objective to demonstrate that these features need to be on an Airbase or Bridge objective type.
Tile spanning or something of that sort in the CODE.
I put it back to an Airbase objective and it is now fine and better…HEH…heh…heh…!!!
Sat imagery was from 2012…we had better but I lost them on a burnt HDD…Vag’s has compiled some new imagery that should push us forward with the new POC of how we do terrain in 2017demer
