Rudder pedals for Cougar.
-
Hey.
Any suggestions for rudder pedals for my Cougar?
I’m not necessarily looking for pedals that plug directly into the Cougar,as long as they can work
and be recognized in the Falcon 4 control setup. -
Pedals which allow differential braking are a must. CH pedals are relatively cheap, reliable and functional but don’t look like aircraft pedals. I have bought a second hand pair a few years ago and they function flawlessly. Saitek has better looking ones. And there are more expensive ones on the market, a little googling will tell you more. In BMS, you only use them for taxiing, so it’s also a question of: how much money do you want to spend for this restricted functionality ingame.

http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/images/mods/rudder_large.jpgsure it didnt work? The cougar has a few too many axes to use all of them at once… I guess what Im asking is, was foxy definitely configured to send the right signals here?
Ive not tested this out, but it would not be very useful to me anyway, unless the cougar suddenly gets new drivers that let it use more than 8 axes at once through directX.

I converted my Cougar pinout Simpeds to USB for this very reason. I wanted all 10 axes.

im looking into those saiteks, potentially an xmas present
need some rudders in my life for diff braking -
I used that wiring diagram when I built my rudder pedals . However, instead of potentiometers I used industrial hall sensors. They have worked flawlessly for about 7 years now. I use Dunc’s Cougar profile with the required in sim configuration.
