Good luck building a proper .THR file then without a path-wireframe.
One is building the pathes for one reason, and that is to build an according .THR file from it, so the GUs DO actually understand and can âreadâ where they are goin.
Furthermore⌠ever wondered why you see those nice roads and rivers in your Air-2-Ground Radar. Where do you think those are coming from ?PS: and about those eternally and always North-South or East-West aligned brigdesâŚnot anymore in future (RF 5) :drink:
The concept that BaldEagle presented/introduced was, that it only took a dot(8 bytes), whether it be a road path, bridge path, water path, to let the code know that those paths existed on said tile, whether it was one or some/all. These dots could appear anywhere on the tile, thatâs all the code cared about.
Totally agree with the .THR comment The ground units utilizing the complete direction paths presented and the .cam ground links know where to move already. Plus the graphical view of the .THR lets the developer know precisely where the roads/river are actually laid down, where they are and where they go and how they link up. This is why BaldEagle never said to go ahead and use this method as it wasnât practical. It was just informational to let developers know what the code required.
The GUâs move only on the N/S/E/W center axis of the tiles no matter what.
GUâs can move through 3D objects without issues. But you can remove any 3D objects from the N/S/E/W center axis so they donât ever move through the object features. Just a matter of manipulating the object DB.

Just for curiosity, did you test if your airfields, made someone from scratch, are perfectly working? I mean for the correct placement of point data, PAPI, landings lights etc? Did you try to make an approach procedure to check if everything works good?i have some âBETA TESTERSâ around

No, not out of context. You posted as did Chuckles that it works in the Guam theater as a PROOF OF CONCEPT. Itâs not a POC, its a cheat, as is the making of GUâs to traverse water tiles, like the ocean.
You guys are posting stuff that leads new/old developers to overcome the exact things that Falcon is supposed to take into account, like the .MEA file and the .THR files and subjecting those things partially useless so you can get your way by cheating the code. Thus enhancing the laziness of truly developing Falcon the way it should be done and subverting the intentions of not only the BMS team and community developers with mis-information and all the confusion it entails in the end!!!
So, once again, no, not out of contextâŚâŚSIGH

HAI FATTO UN LAVORONE, GRANDIOSO MIGLIORAMENTO DEGLI AEROPORTI DI BALKANS. Al momento vista la scarsitĂ del mio Pc posso solo gustarmi il tuo lavoro in piccola parte ma veramente hai fatto un grande lavoro. Spero di poter scaricare ancora i tuoi prossimi lavori. Giusto una piccola osservazione, potresti inserire piĂš umani sulla âRampâ, meccanici tecnici ecc. ecc ? BMS è sicuramente molto migliore di falcon FF6 ha solo un difetto meno scelta sugli aerei di contorno e minor loro qualitĂ visiva.
