thanks in advance,
Meso
here is my system: (old but ran falcon bms 4.32 U6 smoothly before fresh installation)
intell core 2Duo at 3.00GHZ
8gb DDR3 corsair ram @1333Mhz
Nvidia GTX 8800 (768mb ram) driver version 340.52 -
Does this happen in all theaters? Also, are you updated to U7? An older driver version (can’t remember the version that worked for me at the moment) may help as well.
-
i only have the "default"theatre of korea. i did not update to U7. i saw the thread regarding the drivers from nvidia but was not sure which driver to select. most users have newer video cards than the one im using.
-
Need to update to U7…that is the latest. Try driver 306.97. This one helped a lot of folks with stutter issues.
-
ok i will try that.

also as you have done a re-install make sure that your Desktop Screen Resolution is exactly same as your BMS Game Resolution - I found in past strange things can happen if there is a mismatch.
Did you switch off Shaders in BMS Configuration when you did your re-install? Core2 Duo may struggle a little on BMS with all Shaders turned on -
Turning off cockpit shadows in the BMS config file helps with the stutter. Also if your having frame rate issues move the Object detail slider in setup from 6 back to 5 this loses all but the necessary trees and other stuff you dont see at 15000 feet and will speed up the frame rate.
This is advice, its up to you take it or leave it.

Hi all,
Thank you for the advice so far. i did a fresh install of falcon bms U1-U7 and installed driver version 306.97. I did a test flight with stock f-16 block 52. in inclement weather at 7:20, climbing into the sun, this seems reasonable test scenario in my opinion. in the air was an awacs and also a tanker. so not too much ai in the air.
i have the screen resolution the same on the desktop as in the 3D falcon environment. ui screen cant be changed and is at max 1024x 768px
in game settings:
3D resolution: 1920x1080
object detail: 7
object denstiy: 6
vsync: off
multisampling: offmodifications active:
Tom korea2015 ground textures
cloud package V7.4When i tested like this before i get stutters when when airborne, on the ground no stutters were visible.
Today i had a smooth flight, so it was fluid all the way, no stutters.i will test it with the f16 block 52 from Jan Has and see what happens.
EDIT: With F-16 block 50 from Jan Has i did a test and had a smooth flight. same conditions as described above.
attached is my current configuration, you are all allowed to advice there too

Good to hear that things are starting to work out for you.

Well its a good thing to post when something worked out. it happens so often that you find a software issue reported on the internet, but there is no closure or report what was done to fix it.
-
Never heard of this one. Try turning off “double resolution cockpit displays” in configuration. 768 mb video ram sounds like the culprit.
-
tried that earlier, but my problem went away after a fresh install of BMS4.32 U1-U7 and the drivers suggested in an earlier post. couple flights made in the TE were all fluid.
kind regards,
Meso
