How to pick what aircraft are useable in campaign?
-
Hello all;
I am not very active here on the BMS forums, so forgive this nooby question:
No matter what theater I pick, or the campaigns I pick there are certain aircraft that are not flyable and never appear in the campaign. Like the Tu-95, MiG-25, MiG-31, Su-33, etc… Is there any way for me to set it so that way I can fly a MiG-31 (or other assorted aircraft) in any of the “strong drpk” campaigns? or is this just not possible?

Yeah, you would need to edit the campaign save files to add those aircraft.
Tacedit or Mission Commander would be the appropriate tool for the job. Its not the easiest thing in the world, though.

I recommend to try my Korea ‘80s MOD. It was not made for beginners but it has Eurowar campaign on Korea map which models a NATO vs WPAC campaign. It has all the iconic AC from Cold War which was possible to put and into campaign. Of couse they do not have cockpits but at least has fixed and usable loadouts. MiG-29 has nicer skin, Su-24 has new 3D model, Su-30 also have new 3D model with nice skin and later appears in campaign as reinforcement with a single "prototype’ squadron. MiG-31 has a fantastic HQ skin from Neozino, the drop launch of R-33 is modeled along with more real missile kinematics, etc.
