PROBLEM with TUSBA TQS R2
-
Hello there! I have a problem with my newly purchased TUSBA TQS R2. At the first time I connected it with the Tqs everything was good… After that I noticed that the TQS was losing some of the assignments of its profile (keystrokes), such as antenna, range, and the positions of the TQS (throttle etc). This is happening EVERY TIME i get into the game , I make manually the assignments, I fly and if I want to fly again I cannot, because ALL the assignments are lost…
Furthermore, I have a problem with the microstick of the radar cursor. I mean that the Y and X axes of the radar microstick taking place the Y,X axes of the…. Stick!!! That means that the stick is ‘‘dead’’ (I use a Warthog Stick) and the plane is moving on its axes by the… radar microstick! Even If I made the right assignments, I have two things as a result: 1) the assignments are loosen by the next flight, or 2) I cannot choose the right assignments inside the set up section of the game…
I done the firmware update with the DCC, I re-calibrate the TQS and then I noticed STILL the same things……
Please give me your help…. Thanks for your time… -
Did you set everything in the game UI to keyboard again?. Then make the correct selections. Like last time.
BMS wipes out all the settings if you plug/unplug controllers and make the order different from the last time BMS was set up. Make sure you have the same controllers setup in the same order every time and save your config folder and replace the old one if it happens by accident again. If you plug all of you controllers in and leave them, it won’t happen.

Τhe hotas is unplugged from the first day I set it up in my pc. Not changing usb ports, not accidentally power offs etc. I have tried everything, even your thought Icarus…But the problem still remains… I think it must be a tusba’s wrong…

Hello Predator
did you search the forum for ‘TUSBA’?
There are a lot of useful tips on installation issues and other problems in some of the threads. -
Jetlag I searched but I didn’t find something similar to my problem… That’s why I create a new thread.
-
I see - fair point.
Did you try the Tusba/cougar on a different PC?
It may need that you re-install the Tusba completely but first you would need to remove all the associated USB records from your PC BEFORE you try to re-install or you may end up with the same problem - many USB devices have hidden entries that you need to remove first. Search on Google for “remove hidden usb devices windows 7” for help in doing that and then try your re-install -
This is my next move Jetlag: to try Tusba TQS in another pc… I will do this with Raptor’s help!
As about the re-install you propose, it’s worth a try mate! Thank you! -

No, but when you plugged in tusba it created a new controller, bms would reset because the controllers list changed. It resets your callsign.pop file when the controllers list changes. Changing USB ports has nothing to do with it. Its the list in your Windows game controller settings that I am talking about.
Did you put everything to keyboard in BMS, then choose one by one the axes?

Yes, I did that exactly. I wrote to RS and they told me that something went wrong with the sequence of the devices and missed up the DX buttons or something… I think I’m gonna unplug them all (Warthog, TUSBA TQS, MFDs) and re-install them… Please do you know any program that helps you find and delete any usb trays from devices?? Otherwise windows will find the devices immediately after I plug them to the usb ports…

Do you have your axismap file write protected?
-
Nop… Which means?

Do you have your axismap file write protected?
Hello Predator
Skorp means if you look in your Falcon BMS 4.32 Folder in \config\user you will find the axismapping.dat file - if you set up your axis settings to function properly while running Falcon game, exit the game then go straight to Falcon BMS 4.32\config\user then right click on axismapping.dat, select ‘Properties’ and tick ‘Read Only’ box then click on ‘OK’ it means that next time you start the game, the axismapping.dat file will not be overwritten. In theory that should lock your Axis assignments to what you set them to for the previous time that you ran the game. This assumes of course that you can still assign the Axis the way you want to while you are in-game -
I see!!! I didn’t know this! I will try it too! Thank you! Hope to find a solution soon….

Sorry for the delay.
Thx for the explanation, Jetlag

Mine was shipped 5 days ago. I hope there wasn’t a bad batch or run of them that slipped through. I highly doubt it, as their products are top notch.
