EDTracker and BMS
-
My setup works fine in my other sims and games, but it just wont play nice in F4BMS. As soon as I enter the VC the view immediately switches to down and right or down and back. I cant figure out why it does this.
I have to use OpenTrack as head tracking doesnt work in F4 unless I do. Tried fiddling with mapping, reversing axes etc but nada. Help!
(in the right sub this time!)

What kind of problems are you having with FaceTrackNoIR? It also supports the opentrack protocol.
Cheers, Uwe

Works fine here.
Are you using Open Track with your other sims and games? if not then it’s OpenTrack’s settings that’s at fault.

Here too as a charm…. Sometimes it doesn’t load the profile i have made but other than than it works perfectly and imagine that i have light behind me. I’m talking like Hoover for the FaceTrack. If you have the thing with the profiles just pause the sim then alt-tab and select your profile in Facetrack. And as you said try to “play” with all the options it gives you. from camera focal length , the curves, the fps everything it took me a while to have perfect results!

The EDTracker, accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer
The EDTracker device only pretends to be a joystick, so any game that allows you to map an analogue joystick to a head-look feature should work.
If your game only supports protocols such as FSX, TrackIR or FreeTrack, you can use the 3rd party software “Opentrack” to take your joystick input from EDTracker and emulate those protocols.Headtracker In Action video!

Negative, Reboot, they changed it no so long ago. Now it act like a standard head device too.
I’m waiting for my 9150 chip to test it. A friend of mine already did it and it works good with BMS.
BTW, two days ago they release a new version: http://www.edtracker.org.uk/index.php/11-news/54-gui-4-0-4-0-mag-4-0-3-firmware-update

What I posted above was actually a quote from the EDTracker site.
PS: I’ve had my EDTracker (9150 chip) for over a month now and use Opentrack with BMS, actually it works impressively well.

Well, lol, I know exactly how it works with Opentrack like a headtracker device. I don’t know for sure how it was in the past. Maybe it was a misunderstood. They don’t change Edtracker way of work, they included in Opentrack.
I used other one based on Arduino a year ago wuth FacNoTrackIR but I give it to a friend so I don’t have another chip to test with. I wanna give a try to EdTracker development but they are other sketches around.Appariences are sometimes wrong…

Mrwell, I think you’ll like EDTracker very much,
PS: hope yours arrives soon.
Reboot.

I’m looking forward to it. It has to be perfect for a full pit. I’ll save TrackIR for ArmaIII.
Cheers!
