Morphine's Profile
-
Hi,
I started mapping my Warthog and I’m wondering why I do have different Button-ID’s for the throttle.
E.g.:
(From Morphin’s profile)Cursor Button
SimCursorEnable 20 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
Coolie Switch
OTWGlanceForward 21 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
FOVToggle 22 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
OTWSelect3DCockpitMode 23 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
OTWSelectHUDMode 24 -1 -2 0 0x0 0For my Warthog the cursor button id is 33 and the coolie has no ID’s.
But now, how can I handle the throttle coolie?And, as far I could read, you can handle both (TARGET-sript and and a *.key-file) together…
IsMapAxis(&Throttle, SCX, DX_XROT_AXIS);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCX, 0, 0, 0, 0, -2); //Negative number at the end reduces the sensitivity of the cursor X-axisMapAxis(&Throttle, SCY, DX_YROT_AXIS);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCY, 0, 0, 0, 0, -2); //Negative number at the end reduces the sensitivity of the cursor Y-axisfor this little “throttle-mouse-stick”?

heya,
if you use morphines target script, the coolie is mapped to keypresses if i remember correct.
that would be the cause for not having any ID on it if I understand correct.sorry but i don’t understand your 2nd question, in fact you have to align target script to bms keyfile and mapped axes/vice versa

It is not so easy with a school english…
These part
Coolie Switch
OTWGlanceForward 21 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
FOVToggle 22 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
OTWSelect3DCockpitMode 23 -1 -2 0 0x0 0
OTWSelectHUDMode 24 -1 -2 0 0x0 0is from the DX-file. And as you can see, there is a button setting (21 to 24)… But I do not have a button assignment in BMS for this coolie hat. So, now I’m wondering a) why and b) how can I handle the throttle coolie?
And this:
MapAxis(&Throttle, SCX, DX_XROT_AXIS);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCX, 0, 0, 0, 0, -2); //Negative number at the end reduces the sensitivity of the cursor X-axisMapAxis(&Throttle, SCY, DX_YROT_AXIS);
SetSCurve(&Throttle, SCY, 0, 0, 0, 0, -2); //Negative number at the end reduces the sensitivity of the cursor Y-axisOn the throttle you have a little “mouse stick” (you can use it for cursor slewing) at the back next to the throttle coolie hat and I’m wondering if these lines are for it.
And…, if I’m using TARGET, do I need to use all the axis settings, or can I use TARGET as an “AddOn” to DX-file? Because I only need the access for the throttle coolie hat [1] and the sensitivity for those X/Y axis for the cursor slewing.
[1] All others (AFAI momentary K) I can handle with the DX-file and the settings in BMS.

Ok, just installed TARGET…welcome in another hell
Now I know, why the buttons ID’s are different!
Before TARGET I had two controllers in the BMS settings; now I’ve “only” one combined.
And before running a TARGET script I had (a lot) over 32 DX-buttons, now it ends with 32.For what do I now need the DX settings in a key-file (like keystroke.key, or bms.key)?
Isn’t it better to set all in a target script?And all because of one coolie hat on the throttle…

The profile should have a Warthog-DX.key keyfile that comes with it.

Greetings. I have only just recently bought a TMW and have installed your Profile. Only wanted to thank you for such a great job. Kind regards. Jay.

I am a complete newbie to running warthog with BMS.
Can anyone please say the install procedure? Neither the first post, or the download page tells you how to install/use these files…
I’m assuming the .key file goes in here: C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config
and the
.tmc file gets loaded into target… ?What other things do you need to do?
-
.TMC definately is loaded via TARGET. It’s what changes the nature of your joystick(s) output.
The .key file file controls all non-axis assignments, both keyboard and DX. Placing it in the user\config folder means it will display in the load list from within the game. After the .key is in place, load it once in game setup. Axis mapping is defined by the advanced page of the controls setup so you’ll have to configure that yourself once the TARGET controller is active. Function check the axes in the advanced controllers section (the bars will move) and 4 axes (rudder, X, Y, throttle(s)) at the main controllers screen. Be sure to set your AB detent and idle detent by left/right clicking the SET AB button. Button function check can be accomplished by pressing all buttons in turn on the controller(s) and watching the key list and the feedback text below.

Hello everyone,
could you help me once more?I used the profile of “morphine” which is very good …(version 2)
But what I do not understand is that the red Chinese hat on
“range knob” and “strores jett” does not work at all …
I wonder why …
I try to change the command lines in the script but I RINTING that “TARGET” does not accept the L_CTL+F3 and L_CTL+F4 in the Chinese hat (WHY ??…) I can not try anything
( I said I’m on a AZERTY keyboard FR = RANGE KNOB UP= L_CTL+F4 --&-- L_CTL+F3=DOWN and STORES JETT= L_CTL+‘j’ …IMPOSSIBLE TO MAPPING IT like that normaly morphine’s profile is dedied.
Of course I use the fichier.key is given with …So I try to map other keys without using the L_CTL and L_SHIFT …
EX: MapKey(&Throttle, CHB, PULSE+‘k’); and using the profile morphine
Chinese = hat works again.
Why do not they accept the CTL or SHIFT at this place. ?I should add that when I start the game without TARGET profiles and with the original BMS keyboard CTL F3 and F4 keys working again normally.
Is there a conflict between the profile built by morphine that it is pressing in qerty?there must be something I missed because it’s already hard enough like that to assimilate the operation of compiling the script.(sorry)
HELP! pls

Hello Morphine. How do you handle this files and configurations with an added rudder?
I have my joystick as ID 0 and my throttle as ID 1 . Combined it yields ID 0…. everything works great in BMS as per your profiles. However, as soon as I add a Gamepad (i want to test the axis as a rudder), it is in ID 2 … but when I run BMS the buttons are wrong (joystick buttons act as OSB).
thanks for your help.

Are you getting the ID from DXDiag or is it the listing order when you open the Joysticks and Controllers in the Control Panel?
It sounds like the GamePad is displacing the Warthog your primary controller. What other devices do you have (MFDs, other rudders, etc.)?
-
hello.
in DXDIAG the gamepad has ID2 (while TM combined has ID 0, with target off it has joystick 0 and throttle 1).In USB devices in control panel, preffered device is chosen TM combined.
I dont have any other devices. Im worried that If I bouy a set of pedals they will displace my HOTAS, thats why im testing this beforehand.
do you have any more ideas I could use?
thank you for answering. -

1)install target and open FalconBMS-Warthog.tmc with it. press play in the target software to run the joystick.
2)copy the Warthog_DX.key to your FalconBMS folder
3)run falcon 4 bms, load the Warthog_DX key.
4)map the joysticks in the advanced tab inside the controller configuration in BMS. this mapping is described in the JPGEG Pictures that morphine includes.
5) enjoy! -

thank you for answering.BMS uses the controller order as displayed in the Game Controllers Control Panel. So if your Gamepad is listed before the TM Combined that’s how they will appear to BMS. My guess is that you owned, and had plugged in, the Gamepad before you bought the Warthog and that it is now always listed as the first device when it is plugged in. I’ve observed this whenever I’ve reinstalled the OS so I’m always careful to plug in the devices in the order I want them to appear.
However, my guess is if you were to now plug in a new set of rudders like the Saitek Combat Pedals, they would appear after the Warthog and not screw up your controller numbering (assuming the gamepad is not plugged in).
I hope that helps.

Hi, I am new to this but I’ve been to Morphines version 2 page and can download all but the .tmc and dx.key
they seem to be greyed out.
Am I doing something wrong
thanks,
