Are you getting the ID from DXDiag or is it the listing order when you open the Joysticks and Controllers in the Control Panel?
It sounds like the GamePad is displacing the Warthog your primary controller. What other devices do you have (MFDs, other rudders, etc.)?
-
hello.
in DXDIAG the gamepad has ID2 (while TM combined has ID 0, with target off it has joystick 0 and throttle 1).In USB devices in control panel, preffered device is chosen TM combined.
I dont have any other devices. Im worried that If I bouy a set of pedals they will displace my HOTAS, thats why im testing this beforehand.
do you have any more ideas I could use?
thank you for answering. -
I am a complete newbie to running warthog with BMS.
Can anyone please say the install procedure? Neither the first post, or the download page tells you how to install/use these files…
I’m assuming the .key file goes in here: C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config
and the
.tmc file gets loaded into target… ?What other things do you need to do?
1)install target and open FalconBMS-Warthog.tmc with it. press play in the target software to run the joystick.
2)copy the Warthog_DX.key to your FalconBMS folder
3)run falcon 4 bms, load the Warthog_DX key.
4)map the joysticks in the advanced tab inside the controller configuration in BMS. this mapping is described in the JPGEG Pictures that morphine includes.
5) enjoy! -

thank you for answering.BMS uses the controller order as displayed in the Game Controllers Control Panel. So if your Gamepad is listed before the TM Combined that’s how they will appear to BMS. My guess is that you owned, and had plugged in, the Gamepad before you bought the Warthog and that it is now always listed as the first device when it is plugged in. I’ve observed this whenever I’ve reinstalled the OS so I’m always careful to plug in the devices in the order I want them to appear.
However, my guess is if you were to now plug in a new set of rudders like the Saitek Combat Pedals, they would appear after the Warthog and not screw up your controller numbering (assuming the gamepad is not plugged in).
I hope that helps.

Hi, I am new to this but I’ve been to Morphines version 2 page and can download all but the .tmc and dx.key
they seem to be greyed out.
Am I doing something wrong
thanks,

@Ibis… Look all the way to the far right next to file names and click the “down arrow” icon.
-
Ahh, sorry Morphine I just downloaded the others from the left hand side and didn’t notice the right hand side arrows.
thanks,

falcon 4bms is running?
thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have the authentic key bindings for the A-10C?? Not to be excessively anal, but I prefer to fly with the real stuff. Thanks in advance.
-
I don’t think the A-10 cockpit systems are fully implemented in BMS therefore it’s somewhat not possible to have a fully “realistic” profile. TBH though I haven’t even tried. To have a realistic A-10, I suggest flying DCS.

Ibis.Hello.
here is more detailed:1)install target and open FalconBMS-Warthog.tmc with it. press play in the target software to run the joystick. your joystick should be named now THRUSTMASTER COMBINED in windows control panel / usb controller device.
2)copy the Warthog_DX.key to your FalconBMS folder (Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Config)
3)run falcon 4 bms, load the Warthog_DX key by going to SETUP, CONTROLLER, then click LOAD button and select the Warhog_DX.key
4) inside falcon 4 bms setup, select the joystick controller as “thrustmaster combined”. then map the joysticks in the advanced tab inside the controller configuration in BMS. this mapping is described in the JPGEG Pictures that morphine includes (View Control, Flight Control, Avionics Control)
5) set Afterburner by clicking the AB button. Leave the Thorttle in the position before activation of afterburner, then click the button. Repeat for Idle deten but with right click of the AB button.
6) enjoy! -
Hi Morphine, just like to say thanks for sharing your profile. I have recently had to replace my Cougars with Warthogs and wasn’t looking forward to sorting out a profile. But found yours and it spot on! So again, thanks very much for sharing it.
Cheers

Hello.
here is more detailed:Thanks for your help Don, I will try it soon.
cheers -
Morphine, I installed a profile, but I have a problem with saitek pedals.
The brake pedals act as a rudder, if active pedals in the “controller” commands return all default. I have a hotas Warthog.
thanks -
 DCS…Eeeww!!

Profile is working great thanks. But I have an issue that I wonder if anyone here has experienced before. The MRM Override and the SRM Override flash on & off quickly when I select them with the boat switch. Further investigation found that I have to keep the ‘M’ key depressed on the keyboard for missile override. As soon as I release the key the override cancels. The same is true for dogfight mode using the ‘D’ key.
This didn’t use to happen with my cougars so I loaded the Dunc DX keyfile and unplugged the warthogs, loaded BMS and exactly the same thing occurs.
Got me scratching my head a bit, any ideas? Thanks.
-
Yep, search for dofight mode in config file and you’ll find an override or cancel code on it. Change 0 for 1 (or viceversa) there and there you go. Sorry I don’t remember exact string right now
-
Thanks mrwell, perfect! The setting is: set g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel and to eliminate my problem I set it to ‘0’ Really appreciate your help.

Hmmm. When I last flew a few days ago, all was well in the world. Tonight however, when I try to run the script I get an error message as follows: Compile error: File not found: target.tmh
I checkedthe file path to the script directory and target.tmh is located there. So I have uninstalled TARGET, rebooted and reinstalled it. Still get the same error. Any ideas anyone? -
I have got this problem sorted. If I drop Morphines TMS file into the Thrustmaster > target > scripts folder then it runs fine. Strange behaviour though as it was working fine where it was!
