Problem with X65F and mode switch programming
-
Mode swich in my x-52 is not momentary… maybe it works the same in your 65… I use my mode swich like a dx swich… nothing programed in the profiler… just assigned it to the commands in bms…

Zaltys, i can help. First make sure it is set up as advanced Key programming and do the keypress +release. Im sure that is already done in Saitek. The other issue believe it or not is Teamspeak. In Teamspeak goto Settings/Options/Hotkeys. Bottom right corner you probably see Default. Change that option to Keyboard and mouse only. You should have no more problems. Even if the problem happens when ts is not open this most likely is the issue.

Sometimes? As per TS3 or something launched? Isolate the condition and if can’t, can THEN assume driver fault.
Procedure – Bind keybinding 1, 2, 3, or 4 to entering the mode. Leave rest empty. In Notepad, will emit 1-4 on mode switch. But that doesn’t matter since mode switch left untouched when not simming.

Jambo, by saying to set press + release, you mean:
1. when press “c” and then in first window appears “c” press + release?
or
2. to set press of “c” to the first window and the release of “c” to the third window?I’ll also definitely check settings in TS, but I somehow I suspect it’s drivers’ issue, as sthalik suggested.
Thank you guys! I’ll keep you informed on progress.

Well, TS thing didn’t help. Today will try to work with drivers.
-
Use the latest beta on Failtek’s FTP.
Actually the profile editor’s written in .NET, so if the stuff becomes obsolete and broken, it’s not hard to find out how force settings are transmitted to the device.
Wonder if able to introduce arbitrary force levels. Always craved that bit of functionality.

Well looks like it was both that caused stick keys:
- Bad drivers. I checked in Device Manager and there were two drivers from Saitek with exclamation sign. I uninstalled all Saitek drivers and installed them again with all due cautiousness – restarting pc after install, etc.
- Conflict with TS (happens only when TS is running). I followed Jambo’s advice on this one.
Now everything works great! I’m really very satisfied with this HOTAS, and in order not to start flame wars I won’t compare it publicly with my previous one.

Sorry guys for picking up an old thread, I would really like this to work. I’ve followed the instructions in this and other threads, I even downloaded a premade profile with this function, but no luck. Every time I try it out in the test profile function, nothing happens, I would expect it to type D when I move the mode switch to position 2, but it types nothing.
All help is appreciated -
Dafne, do you still have problems there with mode switch? I can post my profile to try it out on your pc.

That would be fantastic, i downloaded the profile from this post: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?12662-My-own-X65-F-configuration&highlight=mode+switch
just to check out if it was working, but still no joy when controlling in the test profile window -
Here it goes together with key file. I assembled/modified this profile from several available profiles on this forum. Not all functions are labeled and several hats/buttons are not assigned yet (lack of fantasy and time). It’s semi DX one. ATM, TMS left and right functions as a TMS right.

Zaltys, you’re the man, thanks a lot will download it when I get home from work and try it out.
