In a recent attempt to tweak the music files inside the C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Music folder, i found that the files are classified as “.ogg”.

I proceeded with formatting my new MP-3 files to “.ogg” format and replaced the custom ones.

The problem is that the music when entering the sim is kind of “slow down” speed and definitely not normal.

Seems that there should be formatted in a “fast forward” audible speed in order to play in normal speed inside BMS.

Does anyone has a clue what is the correct procedure in order to create files for replacing the custom one’s in the Music folder??😕😕😕

        Apollo,

This quote was taken from a thread concerning editing Falcon.tlk, it might pertain to your problem.

"From doing UI music, I noticed that the sample rate must be 22kHz in order to playback properly (44kHz plays back too slow), so this may also apply to the entries in falcon.tlk. "

also needs a specific ogg version convertor. I used a new one iirc and it didnt work.
I found an older 1.1 iirc and it worked just fine. so spot the correct version from the current audio files first.

Sorry to revive such an old thread but I could not find any more information about this. I have found a way to replace the music.

Grab this program (NOTE! This software tries to install a crap load of adware!! You have to go slow and read and decline all that extra crap!)

              http://www.freemp3wmaconverter.com/

I use this program to convert mp3 files or wav files to OGG files. You have to select “FM radio quality”. If you choose any other quality type it will not play at the right speed.

I have done this for Battle for Sinai, which uses 1 file called “Uimusic1.ogg”. I merged 3 different songs into one OGG file (used an MP3 merge program but had to convert 2 wav files to mp3 beforehand) and now I have custom music for my BMS! 🙂

Other theaters may be different in how they have the music folder set up, dont know much about how this works other than converting the file the right way and it works great.

I use the “Free MP3 WMA OGG Converter” and works just fine.
