Advanced TUSBA revese throttle no testsign needed
-
Hi guys , this is the same post i sent to sim HQ (wanted to be sure that people who needs these instruiction could find it), sorry if i disappeared, i was playing with “freepie” and vjoy for my DIY vr system, to do some practice i created 3 scripts that do the throttle axis reversal and some other functions.
Beside the normal and reversed mode I added 2 modes that are advanced and advanced reversed, they allow the TUSBA R1 to behave as the default mode of the TUSBA R2, i have no intention to dissuade people from buying the TUSBA R2, in fact you can see my script as a “demo” if the basic functions , also i added the possibility to use the idle and afterburner areas as joystick buttons “warthog style”
Here attached you will find 3 " flavors", open the scripts with the notepad and copy/paste all the test in freepie:
Hardcoded:
Just manually set the variables in the first part of the script to suit your needs.Cycle Mode:
Holding the target cursor cycles the throttle available working modes: 1 normal, 2 advanced, 3 reversed and a 4 dvanced reversed.
Holding the cage button toggles the virtual buttons finctionality.
A customizabile audio feedback will warn you of the mode change and tell you the buttons mode.Direct Mode:
Holding the target cursor and moving the IFF hat allow direct selection of the desired mode
The cage button works as above.
Again a customizabile audio feedback will tell you the selected mode and the current button mode.you can find freepie herehttp://andersmalmgren.github.io/FreePIE/. and Vjoy here http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/site/index.php/download-a-install/download
Since Vjoy is singed works on windows 10 there is no need start windows in test signing mode anymore.
have fun guys

Im lost to the background story that is the reason for these scripts. Is this a R1 only issue, if not whats the problem?
I have a TUSBA-R2 and use its software, and it works fine.

actually the original problem was that TUSBA R1 could not been reversed (it just behaves as a dircetx controller and has no management software), bms didn’t have the axis revesal option the throtle (and the axis was revesed by default in BMS) at the time.
since i was working on a free pie script i thought it would be fun to emulate the R2 basic function with the R1 as an added bonus -
That cool that you have these program skills.
Another problem unsolved, is to enhance BMS to recognize two POVs on the Warthog without TARGET. I think i read that vjoy or somesuch could do it, but it would be cool if this was possible native to BMS.

vjoy combined with freepie works more or less as TARGET (or HUD fo saitek), creating this scripts was a fun way to learn code cleanup strategies and better understanding variables and “if” cycles.

Hi! I have a question for you.
I am thinking of buying TUSBA to use my Cougar throttle with Warthog stick.
I bought Warthog to replace Cougar. But I think I should keep Cougar throttle longer because of microstick. Warthog one is hard to handle.
I am not sure which TUSBA version I should buy between R1 and R2. Idle and military and other additional position features I need?
Which one you recommend? -

Which one you recommend?Hands down, the -R2.
Why? Because its firmware can be upgraded (-R1 cannot) and it is 14-bit, 16,384 steps of control (R1 has 12-bit, 4096 steps) resolution.Theres also an alternative to TUSBA, made by the same developer of the Cougar force mod FCC3. Here it is:
