Yet Another T.16000M FCS HOTAS Review and Setup
-
I have to give this up because its not working as should, some axis correctly show as “thrust virtual…” others dont. Rudder is not mapped.
I did not like the setup of buttons in joystick rudder.
This is not something one can copy paste, this really is an issue each player has to resolve himself.
What is needed is something that clearly and effectively, unambiguously puts a button or axis to do what you want. Not sure if that software exists.
its called Alternative BMS launcher… acts as one of ur modern games keybind set up feature…
u can try my setup if you wish, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/263470436430512142/604772453029511178/bmsf16.png

I tried that and it did not work. Some buttons functions not working. The T.A.R.G.E.T. software is now working.
But it literally takes a bit of time, and I stress that each player really should/has to learn to configure it alone, these issues, so far, to me, are not solvable through an intermediate app.

Logic: thank you for sharing this profile.
Unfortunately, I don’t know why but although I do everything according to your instruction, when I’m trying to use SHIFT function isn’t working. Nothing happen if press DX SHIFT key and for example #Trim Nose Dn instead TMS Up. Falcon BMS 4.34. I copied and renamed BMS - Full.key + Edit and add text starting with
#===================================================================================
SimDoNothing -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 -2 “===== THRUSTMASTER T.16000M FCS HOTAS =====”
#===================================================================================Do you have idea what’s wrong? When I run setup - controllers and trying to press and hold SHIFT button with other button on stick or throtlle nothing happen. In menu I will se that I press button SHIFT and than for example button TMS Up but not Trim Nose.
EDIT: everything is OK in game! Trim with shift button working well, I was confused that setup didn’t show it.

What’s new in v5
- Out-of-the box compatible with TFRP pedals.
Can anyone confirm that the pedals are indeed compatible in version 5? The included pdf still shows the twist stick controlling the rudders and the toe break on the throttle lever(?)
Also, if I wanted to re assign the joystick hat to control the POV, would I do this via Target software or within BMS? -

Pedals are compatible in the sense that the config doesn’t mess with pedals whatsoever.
You still need to map the axes in BMS though.
Indeed, if someone could confirm that he is using pedals without any modification, that would be good.Also, if I wanted to re assign the joystick hat to control the POV, would I do this via Target software or within BMS?
Within BMS. Again, my script does not interfere with joystick whatsoever. It only handles TWCS.

Every thing perfectly worked except a few shifted buttons especially on side sticks such as trim left-right buttons. When I press SHIFT button on my TWCS and trim left button, it did not work. What should I do thanks?

@Forester1
As told in our private conversation, I’m not using this profile any more long since, but have switched to a simplified one. I actually think this topic should be deleted in the near future.I’m sharing this new profile I’m currently using here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/14B3dPpMzkqGkdMiHa-rfG5mUA7kU7f7O/view?usp=sharing
However, please note that I do BMS in VR now, so this profile is heavily skewed towards VR and still “work in process” as I need to figure out the most appropriate bindings still.
Also note that I’m not using the new default (ex “alternate”) launcher, but the legacy one (launcher.exe) and I’m used to editing my key file manually in a text editor rather than using the in-game controls setup page.
The archive contains a Readme that explains things and I have updated to 4.37, but still, use at your own risk. -
@Logic @Forester1 seems like the big news in 4.37.2 is the new multiple-shift for devices with a single hat, like gamepads and T.16000M etc
this appears to allow sticks with a single 8-way hat to do TMS, DMS, CMS, and FCR/TGP … and maybe also a traditional dx-shifted function too
just a heads up, for anyone in the process of fiddling with T.16000M
(I’m a former T.16000M user) -
@airtex2019 Oh, interesting, where can I get info on that, the docs?
-
@Logic technical manual page 9-97
and have a look in BMS-Full.key, search for keyword “gamepad”, around line 1088+
it’s a little weird/different in that the SimAltHotas* callbacks appear hard-coded to do the things listed in the doc table, in the various shift-states
it’s not a general purpose multi-layer-shift mechanism, like the conventional dx-shift
multiplexing the hat to do TMS, DMS, CMS and FCR/TGP seems non controversial…
but the A/B/X/Y button mappings are a little wompy… may or may not be useful, for T.16000M stick buttons
