Texture list
-
Hi,
as I began with modelling and textures, I had a part where I could load a texture list.
Something like that:3 Textures
0 6058
1 6059
2 6060And saved as a txt-file…
But I cannot remember where and how I used it.
So can someone help me, please?Best regards

Also: How to get the texture to the model?
I’ve already read a previous thread:
LOD Editor -> Utilities -> Model Texture Setup
Select Parent, Select LOD, Add/Replace Texture
Update Parent Record
But it isn’t working…
I have a texture, but it is a different one.In my case e.g. for CT 1912:
Parent 1228 - LOD 3979 - 6058.dds -> UpdateBut no 6058.dds is shown…
TIA for any help.
Best regards

But what will be replaced with that? Btw. it isn’t working too…
I think LOD Editor -> Utilities -> Model Texture Setup is the right wayI have also the that 6058.dds file in the C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj folder.
But it is not shown, only another dds-file from that folder… -
Hi
if you add a new textures in Data/Terrdata/Objects/KoreaObj you must to “Append” that textureslodeditor - Action - Append /Replace Texture…. <
----if you want to add something new in the database ----
add new CT with f4browse or falcon editor
than , in lod editor add new parent to the new CT - insert .LOD models -
parent - replace with the new parent
normal / edit 1 2 3 etc / Edit LOD / 0.Root / Textures…/ “click” over the first one / over “Change” insert the number of texture / accept / accept
shader
action / calculate model normals
file / save model
done
if i do not understand your problem sorry
let me knowregards

Maybe I brought things together…, because I hadn’t had an existing CT updated, only new CT’s.
First I made a 3DS-model with a texture 6058.png (Sketchup cannot use dds-files), converted via LE to LOD.
While converting LE is asking for the texture, there is 6058.png. (But I can also change to 6058.dds with no effect.)
I made > lodeditor - Action - Append /Replace Texture… < and the file exists in the object folder.
Then I made LOD Editor -> Utilities -> Model Texture Setup.
But always I see a kind of a pilot seat-dds…, not that 6058.dds file, which I made. How do I change the texture for an existing CT where I changed the LOD?

Yes, sir, I founded (too).
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?22890-Can-anyone-explain-how-Update-Texture-List-works-in-F4Browse&highlight=texture+listAn it works now! Yes!
I replaced that list with my txt-file, now there is as texture 6058. YES!So that day isn’t undone.
Thanks nove.
Til then and
best regards
