So I did a thing…..the lazy man's icp / button box
-
Picked up an Elgato stream deck, which of course is normally used for streaming but this thing has some nice possibilities, such as:
Just took screen snippets and used the jpg’s as icons for the buttons and assigned hotkeys.
I wish it had more buttons, but you can easily switch profiles and even display a set of buttons depending on the executable.
It’s not the cheapest thing in the world but I see tons of potential -
u r crazy.
thats expensive -
You could get one of these and do more -
-
I looked at those and was torn, what made me choose the elgato was the ability to change the button images for multiple games, I do simracing, star citizen etc and having a common image for all games would mess with my adult ADHD brain lmao
But if it was flight sims only I’d gone with that.

The button caps come off and you can put images under them, but true…you still have to do that. But you can get extra button caps and make up sets for each game you’d like.
I have/had a programmable/configurable gamepad app on my iPad that was pretty nice…xReva. But I think it’s gone unsupported, and isn’t up on the App Store anymore. Hopefully they’ll come back even stronger.

I like it
Marc…
-
…grab it if you can. It still works under iOS 9.

Was asked to provide my profile.
This is just for the ICP, I want to do other panels but haven’t had the time yet.

Thanks a lot, trudesea!

I did revamp Ice’s old iFly BMS profile for the Apple TouchControl App. I use this on my iPad as an ICP and switch panel. Links posted in the input devices/touch screens forum are.
