Is there a recommended site for downloading the editor? Thanks!

I think it comes with your bms install, I’ll have to check which folder

Im getting an HDR 4 error when I try to open the BMS objects HDR file…any help

If the 3d database file is above 2gb. Well you can’t do much only reduce the file size thus delete models first.

set g_bSaveLegacyDb 1 // Synchronize the bin files to match the xml files when the game/editor is started
In your FalocnBMS.cfg file.
Start Sim\Editor and close, should give the correct files for LODEdit to read.Regards,

demerI did this and still have the problem. Clean install of 4.34. HDR error on LODEditor 6.22 and 6.23. Never had this problem with BMS 4.33.

1.71 GB. It is stock from clean install.

I see no reason why could can’t run LE once you have the Database in .bin format in your Object folder!?
Let me re-install a stock 4.34 … I will take a look.

In my BMS 4.34 simulator, LOD Editor gives the same error. (Hdr Array 4 Overrun) I couldn’t find a solution either.
Therefore I cannot find the texture numbers of the models I want to paint. This is a big problem for me.

Use Mission Commander to see skin numbers. Load a TE where block you want skinned is used. Units tab/squadrons button/double click on block/click view skins

Thank you so much.
I want to repaint the cockpit models. However, in Mission Commander software, I cannot see the texture numbers used by the Cockpit models.

Ugh! I hope they get a fix for LODEditor.

I have these errors when I do Database test.

Many reports are “false positive” because it can’t take in consideration some specificity or can’t access to some data.
For instance, on your screenshot, those are just warning about things that are not “regular” and are not necessarily wrong => i. e. those are canon pods which are considered as ECM pod by the check routine. Do not modify them. -

Checked on my side and I have the same. I thnk it is because by default, 4.34 install program is using the NEW 3DDB builder able to manage a 3DDB > 2Gb … so your 3DDB, even if below 2Gb can be read by LodEditor …
I don’t have the time ATM to try it, but simply extract your 3DDB using 3DDB builder (.\3ddb_builder.exe /extract) … then rebuild it using the “old” process (.\3ddb_builder.exe /build**_old**)
All details here about how to use 3DDB builder : [BMS Tool] F4 3D Database Builder
…
But in any cases, once you 3DDB will be over 2Gb … there will nothing we can do to still use LE to work directly on KoreaObj.LOD since address in KoreaObj.HDR are coded on more bits to support the 2Gb 3DDB … this not supported by LodEditor. … Unless someone can provide LodEditor’s code … this feature will be definitively lost.
… one will have to work on single LODs contained in extracted Parents folder using LodEditor “Open Lod” feature. And once job is done, re-compiling the entire 3DDB with 3DDB builder (old if <2Gb … new if >2Gb).
Skawichasa can help … he is mastering 3DDB Builder.
