Missing callbacks?
-
Dash-1 p.20 lists callbacks for the IFF system:
SimIFFBackupM1Digit1_0
SimIFFBackupM1Digit1_1
etc.but these callbacks are not present in any of the key files, just the Inc/Dec versions of these callbacks. Adding them to the key file works, but is not recognized in the key file editor Excel. Just wondering why they’ve been left out of even the full and pitbuilder key files?

Hi PutYawa,
you can ignore my pm btw. because I was writing without thinkig (or in this case remembering)The descrete callbacks have been added to the code and as you have figured out work quite well.
On the other hand they are not really needed by the design of the IFF backup panel. OTOH for UHF
backup the descrete callbacks does make sense. So, as these callbacks don’t have a real value I decided
to not implement them to the key files and editor.I also don’t plan to integrate in the future them unless there is a very good reason to keep them.
They should have been removed from the code prior release IMO and additionally shouldn’t have been
mentioned in the docs.Even if there are rare edge cases one wants to make use of them I think these guys are mature enough to
implement them by themselves rather then confusing 99% of all other users with roughly 30 more callbacks
in the list. -
I like them just as I like the on/off callbacks instead of just toggles. I have a habit of double or triple pressing to make sure the command is recognized.
Would it be hard to implement in your excel file? I just want it shown in excel so I don’t accidentally double-assign later on when I see “oh there is free space!” and forgotten I already used it for these callbacks. I am not very good in memory after a few days or weeks!
