Training Squadrons?
-
Ok, I am starting to realize that learning this solo is probably impossible. I just tried a campaign. My flight leader took off without me so I lost him right away and had no idea how to re-acquire him on radar (night time) so I could rejoin, and so I just fly around and try to follow the steerpoints. I am afraid to fire a missile because I will likely shoot down a friendly a/c straight away. I guess campaigns are out of my league right now. I can target aircraft in dogfighting with any missiles or guns and score hits, but flying with other aircraft is out.
I read the manuals, understand little of it, and make no progress. I need real people to fly with, someone who has patience with rookies. I have been using MSFS since 1984, but I am lost with these avionics, the sim management in general (menus etc…I cannot even figure out the editor despite having watched multiple videos). I am no idiot. I just cannot learn on my own. This is too overwhelming and nothing is explained very well imo. I would learn 1000 times quicker from a real person, not from reading manuals all day.
So are there any training squadrons or simply a person who has time to teach me wtf is going on here? I am in Eastern time zone and am available any days or times.
Thanks,

Thanks, yeah I saw that list. I just wasn’t sure which ones are active or have patience dealing with people new to this.
