      Hi,

I was wondering whether aside from the training TE’s etc, there was a campaign environment that was more explicitly training oriented - for instance its in a general stable state with Red air & ground not being aggressive and flying either CAP or holding their position, a zone dedicated to SAM sites etc. there are TE’s that do this ofcourse, but a discussion has come up at Falcon Online relating to what to do with the Coop/spare server during Force on Force events and I had the idea to turn it into a training server - obviously TE’s arent really possible as it has to be open to use at any time and having to reset the TE every few hours or whatever would be too much work. So I was wondering whether it would be possible to have a campaign where the AI is passive, resupply levels are very high and to split the zones up a bit in order to provide areas where you can do AA practice, AG practice, SEAD practice and one zone where all threats and unit types overlap for proper mission simulation…

does this exist? if not is it possible to develop and approximately how much work would it require?

Ive built one about 4 times now, just by setting the initial state of the various parties to just be unfriendly and not at war, using tacedit.

However, I never tested whether flying into red territory would cause them to attack you. I just used it to task training flights. Ill have another look into it and see what happens if I just leave it running like that for a while.

EDIT: so far, no flights are being tasked… which is great for manually assigning training missions, I guess. I wonder if someone more skilled than me at TACedit-Fu would know how to con the sides into running BARCAPs and nothing else?

Resupply level is way too high in stock campaigns. Your resupply is literally infinie and very frequent it is totally pointless to attack the factories and and depot, never will have any effect on resupply of ground troops. Sadly…

What is the point of passive AI? IMHO one of the weakest thing is stock DB and campaigns that how weak and idiotic ATO of red side. It attacks totally unimportant targets - consider what I mentioned above - does it without SEAD support and big packages. About 70% percent of flights simply fly you a dumb target nothing else only a “please kill me” sign is missing on their skin… All stock campaign from my point of view is “training” campaign, there is no challenge rating. It is not a “challange” when you simply set insane force ratio…

The rest of your comment is simply not understandable to me. What do you expect from a training campaign? Low unit density? Advanced or less advanced SAMs or AC? What kind of OOB? Qty. of total units? Etc. It can be made such a campaign where you place units that are totally separated but seems to me pointless, just create a huge TE and you get what you wish considering the general tactical situation except randomness on ground units. Static SAMs are not hidden in campaigns therefore is not any surprise in game and most of MANPAD/SHORAD is also not functional…

That there are no blue flights is perfectly fine as the goal would be to have it be an open ended TE with a variety of targets and possible scenarios… but also that it remains static so that it doesn’t have to be reset every time you do a mission.

Try Iron Fortress out of Kunsan.

OR “but also that it remains static so that it doesn’t have to be reset every time you do a mission.” Just set up a TE

And it makes sense too you, OK

Campaign. Adjust the priorities, adjust the pacs. Never the twain shall meet. Edit Objectives.

TE. It’s Cantoos Server their talking about. He is an accomplished TE designer and can set something up that would run for many days.

Just takes time. But Cantoo does enjoy Training people.

Didn’t think I had to give a history lesson Blue.
