Three monitors and only one image
-
Hello, All!
I have been running Falcon 4.33 for years now, and decided to get a three monitor system. Paid $600.00 for new monitors and had a GeForce 1050Ti graphics card installed in my system. Falcon 4.33 seems to just want to produce video images for one monitor, not all three. I heard about setting the resolution to 3x1920x1080. Is this part of the solution? Please help!

from nvidia control panel enable surround. In surround enable all 3 monitors like 1x3. Rearrange your monitors positions if they are not ok. Enter falcon go to gfx select the new resolution.
Enjoy.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Hi Arty!
Enabled surround. I think all three monitors are enabled and my graphics resolution of 5760x1020. Falcon 4.33 still will not run on all three monitors. I am thinking of uninstalling Falcon and reinstalling. Would that work?

Are you going into 3d? It will not show on all monitors until you are in 3d after clicking take off.
The main menu will always just be on 1 monitor. -
In UI you will see only in one monitor (center) the other 2 will be blank.
Setup your gfx and the resolution to 5760x1080.
Go back to main menu choose Instant action and go fly.
All 3 monitors will display the loading screen and in 3d you must see in 3 monitors.A suggestion also is to run it in window mode. This will have better performance FPS wise.
To do this add -window to your shortcut command. Right click on the executable icon and select properties.
Alter Target to this:
“C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\Launcher.exe” -window
select ok.Now when u run Falcon u will see the ui small and on the left screen at 0 point. Size can’t be changed. For position open from BMS launcher Cockpit Display Extraction.
Select Main 2D
Set Left to 1921 and top to 0 or whatever you want. On the right side on window you might like to disable or enable borders.
Select Main 3D and make sure Left and Top are at zero both.
Select Save and close.Run Falcon.
U will need to alter your FOV in your cfg
C:\Falcon BMS 4.34\User\Config\Falcon BMS.cfgOpen it with notepad or notepad++ if you have it.
search for
set g_fDefaultFOV 60change it to
set g_fDefaultFOV 120 //set g_fDefaultFOV 60whatever is written after // is a comment and code ignores it. that way I keep the default setting just in case.
Also change this:
set g_fMaximumFOV 80 // Limits the maximum amount that the FOV can be increasedto this:
set g_fMaximumFOV 140 // set g_fMaximumFOV 80 Limits the maximum amount that the FOV can be increased
You might also want to change this:
set g_fViewlimitPitchDown 0.0 // Overrides all A/C viewlimit_pitch_down values from the 3dckpit.dat files, max. 90.0, only higher values take effectto:
set g_fViewlimitPitchDown 95 // set g_fViewlimitPitchDown 0.0 Overrides all A/C viewlimit_pitch_down values from the 3dckpit.dat files, max. 90.0, only higher values take effect -
Hello, Again Arty!
I have discovered that after doing updates for Falcon, that my monitor went back to just one screen. I was bummed to say the LEAST! I also noticed that in Setup it was seeing only my keyboard. I went over to my Joystick and restarted Falcon 4.34 and I got all three screens BACK!! There was great rejoicing in the land of Tom!!
I am fortunate to be able to get such help from you and others on Falcon Forum!!

check this out, pretty neat

What i do is i place center monitor a bit closer to me and side monitors behind the center monitor. That way i see only the center monitor bezel.
In my case center monitor has way less bezel than side monitors, so this covers it and to tel you the truth bezel didn’t annoy me at all, i don’t even notice it.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Hi, just bought a very nice operating system, Volair flight/racing cockpit simulator, along with 3 2556x1440 monitors. So if I understand you guys correctly, go into my graphics card and change the total (2560 x 3 and x 1440). Then ensure that I select 3D on the card or in BMS set-up? Will I basically slide my center back TO the center for BMS?
Now, my son lives in Japan and wants me to fly with him so in order to make the 3-screen display work, my center monitor has to be on the left.
When DCS loads up, (Not crazy about that simulation) I simply click the screen next to it and walla all three populated. Will I have to switch monitor orientation and the graphics card every time I play that simulation as well?V/R

With 3 monitors I do the following:
1. One time enable Surround or similar video card driver feature to get combined resolution.
2. Run Falcon BMS and change to desired resolution.
3. Disable Surround feature.
4. Adjust X offset in Cockpit Display Extractor utility for Falcon BMS to set position of 2D and 3D windows. After this I do not have to rearrange or reenable anything regarding display as long as I do not enter GRAPHICS tab of SETUP section of Falcon BMS.
