F-18 right engine syncs with left in auto pilot
-
Up front disclaimer, I’m about 60% familiar with the F-18 and ATS so I’m not 100% sure this is a bug but I’m just putting it here in case it is
While doing some testing I found that if I engage Auto Pilot the right engine rpm, nozzle, ftit, oil pressure all change to match that of the left engine. Once I disengage AP it all goes back to normal with each engine being independent. Is this some limitation of BMS Engine , is this how the F-18 actually works, or is this a bug?
My current test:
Windows 10
BMS 4.34U2 x64 -
Yes, “George” is a VERY GOOD pilot and keeps your equipment running perfectly!!!
(It is most likely a BMS thing to ‘null out’ any beta (sideslip) forces generated by differential power settings, George is really good!)

The RL jet doesn’t do that with Autopilot…Auto Throttles balance (I think…it’s been a while), but not the Autopilot.
