F-15E and WCMDs? RESOLVED
-
I see your thread but I have no idea what file the code goes into. I took a peak in f15e220.dat and f15e229.dat and didn’t see a racks section.
-
not sure, might be wrong but I think it’s bmsrack.dat
-
Correct

Correct
Thanks guys, will backup that file and then see if I can bring the rain (armed with Rainmaker code).

If I may, do I need to put this part of the code in a special spot?
*Break*Break* # for a/c with pylons as part of the a/c LOD...
And a bit of an explanation as to why that was needed would be interesting to know. Thanks again.

I replaced the ## F-15 ## rack data with Rainmaker’s code (in file …\Data\TerrData\Objects\bmsrack.dat) and I see no WCMD at the loadout screen.
I used Sublime 3 so hopefully no carriage return / line feed issues.
And yes, I restarted the sim
Oh and I double-checked to see and the new bmsrack.dat has the rack definitions with “# 8/21/2019 added GBU-54 CBU 103, 104, 105” comments and the like.

Once the rack data is there, you still have to enable them in the editor, the rack data only tells the sim where they are loaded.
It’s been a while, so I honestly don’t remember if you select the airframe type and select the weapons type loaded to it or you select the weapons type and add the airframes. It’s one of the two.
If you were to fly campaigns, then there is the added step of stores quantities inside the campaign files as well.
You can quickly see how adding anything to this sim takes a lot of time.

Rainmaker:
Airframe then add weapon works.
So I don’t know if I am correctly interpreting the bmsrack.dat code and changelog notes that you provided.
You said, “WCMD munitions added to CFT/wing/centerline”.
Does that mean that WCMD should be available to wings and centerline stations as well as cft stations?
I think you defined that on each station you get a triple rack?
So is that 3 per CFT left and right (total 6) ? 3 per wing station left and right (total 6)? And 3 centerline total?
For a grand total of 15 WCMD?
-
No, smart weapons are single store per station unless we are talking gbu-39. Only the lower racks on CFT are smart weapon capable. 1 each on stations 2,5, and 8, 3 per CFT. 9 total stores when we talk smart weapons.

Got it and working for TEs and campaigns.
For those that end up following this thread I’ll detail out what I did to get it to work in the campaign.
I first tried to add the WCMD for my campaign using Mission Commander but I couldn’t change the max number of munitions with it.
So then I went to the Falcon editor and there’s a tab for squadron stores. I found the F-15E-229 / F-15-220 entry. There you can sort by munition name and go to CBU 103/B,104/B,105/B and set the number of stores. Be sure to save here. Then you can go into Mission Commander load your latest campaign save. Find your squadron (Units > Squadrons > Country) I sorted by home plate. Go to Stores > Show All and then locate your munitions. Give your unit the number of each type of munition you want (up to the max).
Now I don’t know if you can just hit [Apply] or you first [Resupply] then [Apply] (because I did the latter before trying the former). Then save your campaign file.
Seems to be working now. Yay, WCMD for the E!
Thanks a ton RAINMAKER – not having those really bugged me!
