G_nKnobAccelerationDelta
-
Hello Everyone !
Is the g_nKnobAccelerationDelta setting still actual ?
I can find it in 4.34’s technical manual.
I added it to falcon bms.cfg, but it does not seem to have any effect. I tried both higher and lower setting with my encoders, and I get mainly the “by1” callback.
I used the default callbacks in my keyfile, not the By1.
I have set my encoders to 48ms, this is where I seem to get the best result.
Now, I need to find a way to get the 5° increments when I turn it fastg_nKnobAccelerationDelta
When set to 0 it will make the “By1” and default “By5” callbacks work without acceleration, i.e. By1 =1 and By5=5. Default = 60 milliseconds in which the next input has to occur. If g_nKnobAccelerationDelta is not 0 it will not change the “By1” callbacks at all. Instead the “Normal” callbacks will behave as “By1” if used once and accelerated to “By5” if used in rapid succession. Basically if you move the controls slowly you get By1 increment, if you move them faster you get By5 increments. Use SimHsiCourseInc, SimHsiCourseInc, SimHsiCourseDec, SimHsiHeadingInc, SimHsiHeadingDec SimAltPressInc, SimAltPressDec, SimHsiCourseDec, SimHsiHeadingInc, SimHsiHeadingDec, SimAltPressInc SimAltPressDec “normal’ callbacks for acceleration to work, not the By1 callbacks.
Any help is appreciated

yes it is. I use it and it works fine
I have it set to 200Are you sure the right callbacks are declared?

Thank you for your answer RD !
Yes I believe I am using the correct callbacks :
SimHsiCourseInc
SimHsiCourseDec
SimHsiHeadingInc
SimHsiHeadingDecI’ll try setting it to 200 tonight and report back. I believe that is the value I tried yesterday. I’ll check again.

OK it does work… Not sure how I messed it up the first time around.
I have set it to 150 with my encoders set to 52ms. It seems to do the trick, even if it is a bit finicky. I guess it needs to be some kind of multiple, that I need to figure out. -
So I have an issue. I use the same call backs not the By1. My encoders work great when I have great framerates but they work poorly when I have less that 50 frames. How can I solve this problem? Am I the only one having these issues?
