General quirks in 4.35
-
Hi guys.
I have some small details to share and I hope you will be able to assist in resolving them.
1. I know that in the config/setup page there is an option for “pilot”, but, I’ve noticed in some training videos that the pilot is absent and then appears suddenly. Is there an option for this? There are times that the thigh manual and map come in handy but other times it’s better to have an unobstructed view of the cockpit.
2. In the training missions i.e. HARM I’ve noticed that the Falcons control surfaces i.e rudder, elevators do not move. Is this normal for the training missions? When I’m in the config page all the surfaces are responding to my joystick movements but nothing is happening when I’m in flight.
3. I’ve been working on the HARM training missions and noticed that when I’m in the HAS mode and fire my first missile, the MFD jumps to POS mode and now I need to reset it back to HAS. Is this normal?
4. Each time I try to take a screenshot of the cockpit all I end up with is the image attached below. Any idea why that happens?
Thanks.

1. Alt c : p.
3. yes you have to program both hardpoints to HAS. missile 1set to HAS press MSL SLCT switch hardpoint and again set HAS.
2. I don’t have a clue. but I think at higher speeds movement of control surfaces may become unnoticeable. -
1. You can toggle the pilot on/off mid flight. It’s [alt+C][P] keyboard combo.

Thank you for your help.

I just flew the HARM training and my control-surface movement looks ok. Below 0.5 mach. Rudder is easiest to see, from the rear external view [9].
Also took a screenshot … seemed to work ok.
Not sure what to say, about those 2 problems…

How do you take and access screenshots.
If you take a screen shot in 3d pit with keyboard command Print or Shift + Print (PrettyScreenshot) they should get saved to your Falcon Bms 4.35/User/Pictures folder.
I guess you are trying to insert from your clipboard which might still have an previous screenshot made in 2d -
+1 with airtex2019 for control surfaces

The screenshot explanation is what I thought it was. I did go to look inside that specific directory but there are no images in there. That’s why I asked to see if I was overlooking anything obvious. Very odd.
The pilot issue is also strange because nothing happens. Alt + C & P does nothing for me. Those are the correct keys, right?
I was looking at my control surfaces from inside the pit and exterior and I don’t see the rudder or elevators moving at all. I’m hoping it’s only in the training missions and not once I start a campaign. I need to be able to yaw.

Yes, I finally got it to work. Once the player informed me that the keys must first be released and then press “P”, it worked.
