HELP! Helios not recognizing Canopy callbacks
-
Hi gents….
I am creating a Profile to help me with the RAMP START following some files from Ice’s (thanks ICE) and some ideas from OAK (thanks OAK) using a tablet I have. Why? well, I, personally, don’t like using mouse in the cockpit. I remapped the keyboard to follow a RAMP START sequence but usually I forget some of them when I stay too long from the cockpit due to work.
I manage to set up everything but the CANOPY switch. The key asigned to my keyboar works very well, but when I send the callback to a switch, it doesnt work at all.
Any Clues?
Here is the profile for CLOSE postition:

Looks all good to me.
If on the properties tab and positions three callback selected like in your screenshot if you hover with your mouse over the “AFCanopyDec” entry does the popup show the correct keyboard keystroke that you have in your ini files?
And just to be sure you are using your profile with BMS 4.35

Very interesting… It shows nothing for both callbacks…
I tried this with every other entry and they are ok but the Canopy Open/Close. I am sure the callbacks are in the key file because I am using them in my keyboard as well and they are working ok. I guess the fact that it shows in the profile means they are there allright. Why not showing is a mystery.
I guessed that this could be a keyboard layout issue but it cannot be, because my Seat ARM switch is based in the same key (`) and it is working nicely…
I will try to move the callback to another keyset and see what happens…
Thanks OAK
**EDIT: I worked as soon as changed the key biding (`) to another one. It seems that this key is in conflict with something within Helios.
Again, Thanks OAK. Everything working nice now :-D**

Are you using a US keyboard. If not you need to setup up English as a secondary Keyboard language in order to get Helios to submit all keystrokes correctly.
If you ha e another keyboard / OS layout you can look up in the ICE profile documentation how to setup US keyboard as secondary. Won’t affect your normal usage only Helios is relying on that
