Hello Headcase!
I’ve just written in the “Joystick and input devices” forum, a post dedicated to an Android application that, I believe, does what you want.
Matric: Android app to create panels on tablet with buttons and switches.

Cheers.

Does this deamon app work ok?
I tried it in the past and I had a hell of a time with it even on getting rid of it… -
I have followed the video, i can get the buttons to work in notepad, and in the bms setup UI click the button on tablet and the bms settings show the relevant keybind being pressed IE ICP COM1 ….
but when in cockpit it does not recognise the press and the button on the tablet do not show the button movement? any help appreciated thanks HC -

1. You are running BMS in fulscreen mode. For using Helios wioth BMS you should run bMS in boderless or windowed mode
2. BMS and HeliosControlCenter run under different user priviliges. So ie if you run BMS with admnistrative rights then HeliosControlCenter has to run with administrative rights as well -

I tried it in the past and I had a hell of a time with it even on getting rid of it…I’m currently preparing a series of video tutorials for running Helios profile on tablet or phones with spacedesk or duetdisplay. Yes it works reliable.
Spacedesk works different than other apps like duetsiplay as it installs as a device driver and a windows service and runs permenantly. As spacedesk can also handle Login Screen on devices it has to run that way. Other apps such as Duet or Splashtop cant handle login screens. I never had any issue to deinstall spacedesk.Helios on an Ipad connected with spackedesk
Android phone with Helios and spacedesk
IPAD with Helios and DuetDisplay (wired)
