EZBoards - Generate kneeboards (flights, comms, stpts, weather) from briefings
-
@Skorp
Don’t have experience with these theaters.
But the general rule of thumb should always be the same now:
Go to BMS base folder.
Search for the file “7982.dds”.
You will get multiple results. Pick the path adequate for your theater and edit EZBoards “Theaters.txt” accordingly.
Then tell the community if it worked! -
I´m sure I´m an idiot but I´ve had two tests:
“KOREA KTO”,S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
“Korea TvT”,S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
“Balkans”,S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\Add-On Balkans\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjand
S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObj
S:\Falcon BMS 4.36\Data\Add-On Balkans\TerrData\Objects\KoreaObjFail, always copy to Korea theater

@Skorp You must check what EZBoards says on the line
THEATER=
(Near to the top in console output). This is the string that must be matched.
(Edit: forget what i set about falcon lounge, i confounded with Baltic) -
No, there seems to be a bug somehwere indeed. Need to look into it.
Edit: Got it. Expect fix this evening.
-
Version 10.1 released (DL link in top post), that fixes the theater bug seen by @Skorp .
-
@Logic okay, thank you.
As far as I’m not an english man sometimes is difficult to understand your instructions
Regards
-
@Skorp I’m neither, so there is good reasons to believe Englishmen wouldn’t understand my instructions any better!
-
@Logic
Tested on Falcon Online a few minutes ago and … it works .
Thanks again. -
Works perfect!
Thank you very much, Logic!!
-
Nice feature, I will try ASAP.
Thanks for the effort and the sharing.
Cheers,
hawk -
Added link to new updated package v11 for BMS 4.37 in top post.
Only difference to v10.1 is the hardcoded 4.37 registry key string.
Most of you will have found out themselves and fixed it, but I see some new users trying it, so preferred to put up a new package to spare them any hassles. -
@Logic thanks Logic! Any chance of making ezwatch a bit less CPU hungry?

Wasn’t really aware that it is, honestly.
I’m using an of-the-shelf .NET System.IO.FileSystemWatcher with nothing much to configure other than the file being watched.
So unless I reimplement that on my own, nothing much I can do.
Maybe someone has a pointer to a better implementation I could use? -
@Logic it sits and burns a constant 25% cpu on my box.

Yeah, i confirm. 13% here, but still.
I’m working on something … -
There you go!
Package v12 - Now uses another 3rd party file watchdog for EZWATCH that should fix the CPU usage issue.
Top post download link updated. -

@Viktor How do you run it? Can you post the total output?
-
@Logic BRIEFINGTXT=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Briefings\briefing.txt”
CALLSIGNINI=“C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config\Iceman.ini”
Generating HTML version of briefing data to briefing.html.
‘bin\xbrief.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.ERROR
I run it using a shortcut.
-
@Viktor It might be your anti-virus that killed xbrief.exe. Do you have it in the \bin folder?
You can browse the contents of the zip file in the download link. There you can see all files that should be in the bin folder. Maybe some problems during extraction. Most probably due to antivirus.
