Key presses

Has any had issues with things happening with no input?
-
Actually once… after accidentally spilling a glass of coke over the keyboard
What “things” are you encountering? -
Random things like going into Dogfight, gear dropping, speed brakes deploying, night vision activating, refueling door opening. I was using an old config from .34 and deleted it and did a new one and it’s happening. I have tried to capture it and have had no luck.

I had an instance with something like that (not as severe) and it turned out to be a faulty ANT ELEV pot in my Cougar TQS - the pots in that thing (and maybe one or two switches) share a ground, and that was causing key collisions - most notable one was that retracting the Speed Brakes and leaving the switch parked while depressing the toe brakes would make the Hook cycle up and down. Once I replaced the ANT ELEV pot it all stopped.
So you may have a faulty “something” in one of your controllers causing key collisions…or maybe even your keyboard. Certainly sounds like key collisions.

Didn’t have any issues until .35 and moving my setup. Right now until I can get a either the replacement Vipergear magnet or get a CubPilot mod done. I am running an X56.

Ahhh…since you moved your setup, I might try simply unplugging everything and plugging it all back in. Could be as simple as that…I hope!

Well I just backed everything up and did a fresh install JIC. Frustrating as I didn’t have this issue in .34.

I’ve had this issue with the X56 in multiple sims. Really annoying dropping the gear at mach .76 in the cruise to target.
Couple of things people think it might be. A. Too much power draw for USB devices. B. Interference between the USB cables causing phantom button pushes.Do you use Track IR? Apparently that can cause the interference.
I managed to get rid of the issue by buying a cheap USB 3 PCI card and plugging the throttle into that. I say throttle as the power draw is significantly higher than the stick.Funny how you didn’t have the issue before but these things happen. As i say, PCI USB card solved it for me.

I had the same problem with one switch. I realy could not find the problem. Its now solved. I started BMS, clicked on setup and controller and just waited. On a complete random timeset my FLT CNTRL BIT switch activated without any reason. After replacing all problems were gone.
