Object Damage Models

Hi all,
Are there any hopes of being able to improve the damage models of objects? Is F4 too limited to make it even feasible to modify them?
Could the hitbox be made contoured to the LOD by integrating it at that level?
I’m wondering if instead of using a single hitbox for each object, if the hitbox could be integrated at the LOD level, and where various panels on
the object model would trigger something like “hit points” depending on which panel was hit, by what weapon system “power” rating (ie bullet, rocket, missile, bomb etc).
That would be alot of work of course, but they would ALL have to be done at once.Sorry for all the speculation, just am curious.

To improve something u must have something. Since we don’t have anything then u just can’t do it.
Do we have the 3d models? If yes then you can if not u can’t.
Simple as that.
About hitboxes I believe it’s answered already. -
Interesting you raise that subject.
This year I am going to stat to learn, with MetelHeads help, 3ds_Max.
I thought some of the very simple models like the Humvee might be a good place to start but another thing I would like to see is better damage/destroyed models for some of the ground units.
Not glamour’s stuff but fitting I think.

I have been looking through the lods as pertaining to the destroyed models and things are seriously screwed up.
