Is SMS S-J it's own mode?
-
This one comes from seeing something in DCS and thinking “well that’s not right” but I only think it isn’t because I’m comparing it to Falcon. When switching between master modes AA, AG, NAV, etc. the 6 MFD shortcut formats are saved separately. Is “JETT” master mode also such a mode with 6 distinct MFD shortcuts?

Yes its a mode
The S-J mode can be preprogrammed like any other master mode, and loaded via the DTC.
The default MFD values for the S-J mode are.
LEFT MFD : FCR/BLANK/BLANK
RIGHT MFD: SMS/BLANK/BLANK.The pilot can program the MFD’s while in S-J mode at any time

yeah, but can you have say, OSB 13 be a shortcut straight to the JETT page, is I think what Frederf is asking? or is it a subpage of the SMS. My understanding was that it was a subpage of SMS, and that you can’t have JETT as one page, and SMS as another.

No. S-J is accessed via SMS

What I’m asking is if NAV is set up TEST/FCR/WPN and HSD/SMS/TGP for left & right MFDs and JETT is set up HAD/DTE/SMS and TEST/WPN/HSD does toggling between JETT and NAV bounce between those two MFD states?
Because in Falcon right now it doesn’t. Toggling JETT mode on and off after setting up MFDs in JETT mode does not return to the shortcuts which were set up for NAV mode. When I return to NAV mode whatever changes I made in JETT are there in NAV.
