2-There are three file for reflections. Middle visibility, Low visibility and normal visibility mode. Change file name is like 8005.dds
3-Choose which one you want and Copy/Past them. Owerwrite file into Falcon’s KoreaObj folder.Specials Thanks to Jan Has for his old reflection texture. He sent me them and I used some part from this texture buttom of both sides.

Good job gizemkar … thank you…!!! :blowpar:

Nice work!

Reflections do add to the immersion factor. You’ve done a good job, but isn’t the effect overdone? I’ve searched for in-cockpit pictures on the net and in most cases the reflections were far less visible than in your screenshots.
-
2 files included to package. Visibility level is low for one.
Firstly use texture in cockpit. Screenshots shows effect different like overdone.
Look in cockpit.
May be you are wrong. i think you see this video caps. I’ve searched too. -
I’m not sure but I think there is difference between how human eye sees reflections and how camera lens does. Maybe a real-life pilot could shed some light on this matter.
-
From what i can tell from the images above, this is a very good approach!
Remember that the factors effecting the reflections in the F-16 canopy are mainly the light of the sky (day night) and the weather. For example expect much less cockpit-pilot reflections in daylight clear / blue sky for side views…
and more when observing the upper view…
Much more intense reflection of scratches in the canopy in daylight clear skies occur especially when objerving against direct sunlight (Already implemented very well in BMS).
When flying in adverse weather - heavy clouds skies at noon or afternoon, expect more intense cockpit - pilot reflections.
Finally intense reflections of MFD’s and pilot arms and helmet are typically very obvious in the canopy during night flying!
A different combination of these 3 main reflection “modes” would be ideal to change according to weather - day or night time flying in BMS. (Not sure if technically possible though).
Still not bad at all!!

Dinamic refleciton mode linked weather ?

I think there is another factor involved: in real life you focus your eyes to the outside world when looking around, which has two effects: first the reflection on the canopy will be out of focus which makes it a less prominent object in your FOV and second your brain wil filter the reflection as good as possible because it’s an unimportant part of your view. Compare it with rain on the windscreen of your car: as long as it doesn’t really draw your attention, you don’t ‘see’ it. You can focus on the outside world without distraction by the rain drops.
On the computer screen, both the reflection and the outside world are in focus. There is no physical distance between the two. So filtering the reflection by your brain is less effective: focussing on the outside world makes no difference. That’s why the distractive effect of the reflection is bigger, compared to the real world situation.

Hey my friend Snail, I do completely agree with you, but I will add my two cents here…
I do not remember, when I am flying, doing some missions, looking for targets as well as any threat, to pay attention to any canopy reflection… I mean, I cant see it in these situations… I do not pay attention to reflection when the above situation is happening… Just like you said:" you focus your eyes to the outside world when looking around" it happens in the 3d world too (at least to me)…BTW, the canopy reflections are amazing for me. Thanks for the creator, and the modder, and everyone related to this “mod”
Best regards Metalhead -

I confirm. I am noticing it when taking pictures in flight. (It is like for the sounds recorded with camera or GO PRO ;))
Nice but a little bit overdone.

Fully agree. This is exactly the point why I stopped with trying to ‘enhance’ the reflections of the interior onto the canopy glass and kept it with the original. In almost all cases the final effects are overdone. But, as in most areas, improvements are always welcome too And, I must admit: it really looks nice in the pics.

My reflections did not change. Followed instructions to the letter, with no change. Still seeing original reflection. What am I doing wrong??
-
Can anyone help me with this??
-
There are two files in the pack use the other one.

Three Files included. Low - Middle - High visibility.
High visiblility texture is default 8005.dds file. if is overdone, you must select other one and change file name 8005-Middle Visible.dds to 8005.dds etc. and copy past; Repalce in KoreaObj folder.Note: Set Your Canoppy Cue settings : one of “Reflection, lift line or Both” , in Setup graphics section

Awesome!!! :bowd:

I liked a lot. Thanks Gizemkar. I’ve added to my folder JGMODS.

Added Another Reflection Pack with FunofBms432 Hud …

Would we need or want to swap out different reflections based upon weather, day/night time etc? Ideally we can just use one.
