Gentlemen,
here is today’s WIP for Gwanggaeto the Great-class destroyer.
Main structure is done, and I added a lot of details.
I’m hardworking on it to get it ready as soon as possible.
Cheers,

Hello people,
I’d like to give some updates on my Gwanggaeto the Great-class destroyer.
A significant amount of work was done, not as much as I wanted, as I was very busy with real life this week.
That being said, we start to have something convincing, and we are more and more progressing to discover the final shape.$
So much work is still needed, but I think it’s good enough to be shown :
I hope you that will like it !

You are quick !!

Amazing as always

So, probably a dumb question, but: why spend polygons modeling the boat below the waterline? Are there circumstance where the red bits become visible in-sim?

Tactical Reference perhaps?

Thats very good! question i see similarities with the S-class Frigates or its my idea?
Keep it up! -

Perhaps someday we could simulate better sinking , breaking in half and/or capsizing.

Who knows ! I prefer to make full models now than extended them later if new functions are created !

Hello !
Gwanggaeto the Great-class destroyer shape is getting closer and closer to her final shape !
This week was very busy, so, I haven’t been able to work on my ship this before today.
Here we go !
I’m very happy of the result, I added a lot of details.
Still a lot of work on antennas and radars, but I wanted to show this WIP !
Kind regards,
Radium

Hello,
Weekend’s update !
Most of the ship is there.
Only the two main antenna/towers are missing.
I’m really happy with the result ! that being said, I expect unwrapping to be really long, but texturing shouldn’t be that long.
For some reason, I decided that this ship will be high poly.
But I will make smart LODs, to quickly lower the triangle level.
Stay tuned !

Just for curiosity, how long do you take to build a model from scratch, average? (Working hours).
