Throttle setup: idle and off

<p>Hello guys, <br /><br />I’m stuck with settings for the Throttle commands: idle and off.<br /><br />I’m using Alternative Launcher but I can’t find how to do this… <br /><br />I’d like to shut down engines when moving the throttle full back (I mean going back after the phisical stop of the lever on the idle position) and, on the opposite, when I’m switching engine on during ramp start, to have idle working if I move the throttle forward to the idle position. <br />Actually I’ve to click the idle directy with mouse or keyboard to get the RPM over than 25% after JFS start… which is not the best way to simulate it with such HOTAS.<br />I’ve seen those two Dx29 and Dx30 when pulling back the throttle from the idle position to the off position, any ideas how to map correctly? <br /><br />How can I set it in the right way to work?<br /><br />p.s sorry for my horrible english :)<br /><br />thank you in advance<br /></p>

<p>@Necker , Your shut down commands look good, and yes that is where you set the throttle axis. Your can also set the afterburner there, as well. <br /> To do the release command, put your throttles just forward of the aft detent. Then go into AL ,click on TQS throttle…idle command, and get the smaller “command window” you’ll see 2 buttons. One is “DX shift” and one is “press”. Left click on “press” and it becomes “release”. Pull both throttles back over the detent and it will assign Dx 29 and 30 release to that command.<br /> The only other thing you have to do is go is to go into Configuration in the main BMS launcher and in the hardware tab unclick “idle cutoff”.<br />This should set you up <br /></p>

In AL go to TQS-Cutoff release left and assign it to the left throttle detent. You see, the way the Warthog throttle works is that aft of the detent is not part of the throttle axis. It works exactly like a switch/button. Repeat with the Cutoff release-right for the right throttle. That will assign DX 29 and 30. Then in AL do a release command for TQS-Cutoff release-idle. You can’t individually assign -idle. to each throttle.<br /> I recommend this method even in the Viper, as it gives you individual engine shutoff capability if you fly twin engine jets. <br /> I don’t know of a way to set idle direct to 25%. What I do is- throttles to half throttle when you reach 23-25% rpm, the retard then to idle one you reach 39-40%</p>
