thanks to you i found a bug in the system , if you let some threats empty in the table, the cycles were wrong
I was just coming back to you about this: with only aSA15 in the tables, there is no visible reduction of the cycle time: in the test I just did, 25 seconds without reappearance of the threat (couldn’t wait more, the missile was on me).
So well taken for the recommendations with the OSB.
its better to FILTER the threats rather than setting them to null (awaiting U1)

Hello
Despite the use of the technique you recommend, there are sometimes (quite often) still detection problems in HAD.
Everything is filtered as recommended on the 3 tables (which are not left empty) to leave only the SA15 (in the first table) in search for the HARM.
Sometimes the technique works (the SA15 is detected at least when it fires, sometimes earlier when it acquires me, which allows it to be locked) and sometimes (often) it appears fleetingly in its acquisition phase (but not long enough to be able to lock it) and does not appear any more during the phase of firing and guiding the missile towards my plane, whereas the alert is well present at the RWR.
See the video.

Problem not flagrant for the shooting of the 1st HARM missile, but which is well visible in the attempt (not able to shoot because no detection) of the 2nd.For the 2nd missile, yes, I could have restarted a research, but the threat locks me long enough, it seems to me, for the filter and the resulting shortening of the SA15 search time to work ?
Awaiting U1 ?

If I do the filter on both missiles before attacking (which was not the case in the first video), the problem seems to disappear, at least on the two tests I did.

I don’t know if any attention was paid to the post I’m reposting above, but, in fine, what I think is a malfunction for the 2nd Harm missile in HAS mode (the SA15 threat doesn’t appear anymore in the HAS MFD page, in spite of the filter that makes only the SA15 searched for) occurs even if you have well filtered for the two Harm missiles you are carrying.
Sometimes it is OK (the two missiles in the HAS page detect the threat and allow to lock it) and sometimes it is a problem with the 2nd missile.
Cf. the video linked below : I am on my third pass (identical problem during the 2nd pass, aiming at firing the 2nd missile, the 1st having destroyed the 1st SA15, but I had not launched a video) : the SA15 appears for a fraction of a second in the HAD page, then disappears while the launcher has fired, despite the filters, although the page has been refreshed 3 times.

@Rouge1512 Nope m8, … I’ve encountered SA15 yesterday in sead mission of the campaign ,… for the last time - tho I’ve ejected in
enemy territory.Everything is OK with SA15 and Harm/Has/HAD/… SA15 is just mean sonofabitch… just that, …other then that everything works ok.
It happened just like you’ve described… “one ping” from all TELAR’s … just for them to check “IN RNG” status… then silent
…like, announcing themselves, and fooling you to fire and waste a missile which I’ve did.
…since you carry only 2 harm’s and there are at least 4 telar’s … guess who has the upper hand ??Then I was having some ACM with su33 … and in heat of the battle entered SA15 (2/3 - 1/2) range … diddle-diidle… good bye.
I have it all recorded and watched later in tacview.
SA15 is just coded that way… tough nut… sneaky sob. but in any way , Nothing out of ordinary … per design.
-sam operator’s are NOT stupid , they know what to expect …remember SA-2 in Vietnam ???- on/off… on/off… on/off… then second sam on/off … then back the 1st sam on/off
- even then it become game of cat and mouse - and that was half a century ago
Need whole package to deal with that “shit” sead/dead … not just 2 sead aircraft.
( I was re-designing package for the campaign mission, then in 00:03 a smaller/medium earthquake hit … so I shutdown for night - too bloody nervous to continue)
Cheers, and good luck with - SA15 ,
… remember, use your wits , FORCE … don’t go stupid 1:1 , you can’t win…
Just as Maverick’s F-14 vs SU-57- btw, you’ll eventually learn what it means the term “Wild WEASEL” - then you’ll get your wings

HelloFrom a tactical point of view, battalion HQs are in most campaigns on Korea protected by 2 SA15. As they are close to the line of contact, this is a threat that I use to deal with as soon as a rough location is achieved. In HAS mode (when it wants to work well), then a single plane with 2 HARMs is enough (and the AI wingman can even help). Then you are much more relaxed to do CAS.
From my point of view, when it works, the HARM in HAS is the fastest and least dangerous way to destroy SA15s (much less dangerous than the Maverick attack) : you just have to wait for one of the SA15 to fire before shooting your HARM : with a 90° turn, high speed without lowering the nose, chaff on the beam, the HARM is always faster than the SA15’s missile and the launcher is destroyed before its missile reaches the plane, especially since the beam with the chaffs often make it stalled.
The other being, if one is deprived of GPS-guided bombs, the GBU 12 above 22,000 feet ( with loft and then with perpendicularization and chaff release (but the weather must be good of course) right after the shot --> your are above 25 000 feets and the SA15 can’t reach you.
I am not sure that what happens with the SA15 is “coded like this”:
- on the one hand because it is random : sometimes the HAS works perfectly for the two missiles, sometimes only for the first one and sometimes not at all (especially in multiplayer),
- on the other hand (and this becomes really worrying, because it means that the HARM is no longer an operational weapon anymore in this mode) because I had yesterday on Battle of Suez of Falcon Online the same problem with a SA11 : neither the 11A, nor the 11T appeared while I was shot (with the HARM pages filtered). And that, frankly, doesn’t seem like normal logic to me, because the RWR worked perfectly,
- finally because a SA15 firing a missile at our aircraft must appear in the HAS page of the HARM, unless it also has an optical fire control, which I don’t believe. And even, why is the RWR working then ?
I tend to assume (but obviously I don’t know) that it has to do with the table layout and filtering.
We can only hope that the U1 will bring something, otherwise I will sell my HARMs stock .

I will not sell my Harm stock. Mav-JP just confirmed to me that the problem is identified and will be stopped in the U1
-
Well if really “problem identified” then I can’t say nothing … there will be bugs … and they’ll be corrected. No prob.
- I can’t say 'bout MP , have no insights there.
But to me sam’s are working damn fine…, it is all about timing.
I can fire at them, wingmen can fire on them - which was really problematic in eg 4.35, …, they can fire/fight back
…not perfect, (imho, target prio., other stuff, type of targets), but fine, just enter envelope of any “double-digit” , you won’t exit alive… or definitly abort A2G mission , damage from G’s overload and or fuel shortage after evade attempt
… and they surprise you , … that one SA15 really did, it didn’t activate (on HAD/RWR) until we were right in front of it , then it shutdown , on/off … you really need to be “suicide weasel” to engage with harm’s … or at least 2 human players … one teasing, other engaging
… next time I’ll just “pepper spray” agm154 over them , I’m sure they won’t fight back… at least not in 4.36 version - maybe later
- I can’t say 'bout MP , have no insights there.

yes, that’s the fun of it
