Sharing a 3D printed AB detent for TWCS throttle
-
What an awesome little thingy you made.
Just perfect…!Anybody share an idea on a jury-rigged thingamibob for the CH Throttle…?
I remember many, many years ago that people had little jury-rigged ideas using clothes pegs and elastic bands and whatever.
Too old to remember…!
Anybody have anything at ALL suggested for the CH…?

@Aragorn quick search of Thingiverse for 3d printer files:

I’ve been using @oakdesign’s Saitek X65F’s detent lifts for years now and even have a couple custom bands for different detent ranges and if I need to lift or not going out of AB. There are many for the TM Warthog there too.

Snake’s solution is way cleaner, but I used a small magnet and a binder clip to make a detent on the left side of the throttle. Putting it in a way the magnet barely touches the clip it gives you attrition and makes a small “click” sound but it’s easy to keep pushing.
I don’t have mine close right now so I’m afraid a fast image would suffice for now. -
Thanks for sharing this amazing piece of gadget, I will try to build my own version with your files
Thanks!!!

@Ferde Can you please PLEASE share some pics of your actual actual…?
I am too lame to picture what you mean.

Cheers, serpent-dude.
I checked that out.
Despite the 78 photographs from various angles, all in close up AND a written paragraph of description…
…I have no idea what I am even looking at…!
No idea how that is working…!
Call me hopeless; call me anything.
But, don’t call me late for dinner. -
@Aragorn well maybe get someone to 3d print it for you then. If a picture is a 1000 words, hopefully the extra dimension will make it worth 10000. But then that will probably be too much

I created another post in the relevant place to not hijack this one. Let me know there if you have doubts or questions.

@Aragorn I recently switched to the CH throttle and I’m planning to design and make one for myself. Want me to make 2?
I think I’ve thought of a very cool way to do this…adjustable and clean without having to glue anything. I’ll keep you posted.

@KaneXu
I have 3d printed this but I am having problems with I can push through the Detent way too easily and it doesn’t require the switch to deactivate at all
