N00b alert - x65 Throttle not zeroing?
-
Hi folks,
I’m new to the forum - and a n00b to BMS, so please bare with me… I’m still struggeling with the control layout and the TrackIr software and the only thing that I have succelfully completed so far is the take off in the TE. But I’m willing to learn!
Here’s a thing: I recently got a X65F and I’m currently using a keyfile made by a guy called Zelegend just to give me a point to start from. I noticed that the throttle control in BMS will not got to zero when the throttle is pulled all the way back. There is just a little of the blue column left. Is this normal? I have run through the calibration process that comes with the Saitek software and everything seems to be ok in there but in BMS, the throttle just won’t go to zero. Could anyone of you aces around here point me in the right direction?
Any input on this is highly appreciated…
Cheers!

Hi,
Have you set the detents on the control page in BMS?
X65F has more buttons then BMS can recognize in one device so you will need to configure some using the SST software. I posted my configuration in Saitek section here on the forum with a diagram of what button does what.
Fell free to try the key file and the SST profile in conjunction. -
HeXx, thanks for your quick reply - much appreciated! I haven’t done anything to the detent settings as I thought default might be ok for a beginner like myself. But I’ll give that a shot and see what it does. Thanks for the input! I’ll report. As for your profile: I will totally look into that as a config WITH a description of what control does what is something that I have had serious trouble finding. I recon a forum search will do? Or maybe you have a direct link?
Thx again and cheers! -
Here is my own settings https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?12662-My-own-X65-F-configuration&p=177455&viewfull=1#post177455
I have seen people on the forum saying that ZELEGEND’s settings are very good also, you can find them here https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8743-SAITEK-X-65F-PROFILE-BY-ZELEGEND&highlight=ZELEGEND
If you don’t know how, to set the AB detent just put the throttle in the position you want to start engaging the AB and left click the button AB detent on the control settings page. if you are using an idle detent instead of the cutoff switch you can set it using a right mouse click on the AB set button on the config page.PS. Do you have the latest drivers for the stick? Confirm that those are for the correct OS and CPU architecture. Don’t use automatic windows update ones or the ones that came with the CD as they are most likely outdated
