Strange interaction between Cougar and TrackIR
-
This started Monday afternoon flying a campaign mission w ground start.
The TrackIR view shifted about 15 degrees left of center and locked up during the ground start phase.
On Tuesday the same thing happened while in flight and coming out of the mission I went to the controller setup page. All the buttons on the joystick were green. I could not get any response from the various buttons on the joystick it’s like it was pressing everything at once and froze up.
I spent a day and a half chasing a false issue with axis assignments and have not solved this one.
Possible short in the stick? If so I’d have very limited ideas how to find and fix that…
Any thoughts are welcome.Thanks,

@ Dukera Did you get this figured out man? What happened?

I did and it was pretty weird - I’d purchased a Razer V2 headset with a charging station. Had the station plugged into a USB port on my PC and this problem started. It took a while to figure out because it would not happen on every single mission but was intermittent. However, it always happened when the base station was plugged in.
So had to reinitialize plugging and calibrating my Cougar and TQS (with the charging station unplugged) and it seemed to have solved the issue. As I said a weird one but it was the only thing I’d changed in how my rig was configured so I focused on eliminating it. So both the headset and charging station sit on my desktop un-used today. I’m using an Astro A40 w TrackIR without any issues going forward.Duke

@Dukera Thanks for the reply. Sounds like some freq. interference on the USB circuit.
