Jetseat and HF8 haptic
-
Hi,
I have installed the Jetseat and software a long time ago. Recently I noticed that one of the rotors is not functioning anymore. So I looked for a possible replacement seat and found this HF8.
I have a question about replacing the Jetseat with the HF8 haptic seat. Will I be able to just disconnect the jetseat and connect the HF8 and it will keep working with the already installed software? (so like really just one seat changed for another on the usb)
Or will this HF8 be not compatible with the Jetseat in terms of hardware/recognition? To me it seemed almost same seats (rotor amounts and usb connection)
Also read on some forum that it was working this way for someone using DCS.
I just want to be sure and hope that someone has tried already?Cheers Obi1

I reached out to Andre not too long ago and was able to source some replacements. However, do note that doing a replacement will mean destruction of your JetSeat as there is simply no way to get to the hardware without destroying the seat itself. Having said that, I was able to buy a deck chair cover from IKEA and simply velcro-mounted my motors to that.
Hope that helps!

@Atlas I was actually more thinking about the new seat HF8 as a total replacement at once. Mainly also because it will make ordering and delivering a lot easier. Justcurious if they are compatible with eachother.

@Obi1 That seat software does not support DCS or BMS. It will just vibrate to any sounds your soundcard produces including voices. You need software that supports a game to do it properly and get only the sounds of engine etc. I tried my seat without software and I got a really creepy massage in briefing because it picked up all the voices in Discord. It doesn’t work properly without supporting software.

@Icarus Yes but like i said: is it working with already installed software from Jetseat? Like the aviator wings for example that works with BMS here already.
-
@Obi1 Oh nice. Glad it works with the other seats software thats awesome and surprising.
-
@Icarus Well actually i need a confirmation that it does. But i read somewhere on another forum that it did.
-
@Obi1 If it does you are gold. Simshaker Jetseat software is really good IMO.
-
@Icarus I later read on a dutch forum that it would indeed work. But he said only 6 of the 8 rotors worked. I really hope we could get some definitive confirmation from somebody in our community that has tested this also.
Cheers

At the moment I don’t know how to get the HF8 to work with Falcon BMS, but it works like a charm on DCS wit the Simshaker for Aviators software.
-
@FullMetal_cooKie Simshaker for Aviators does not work with BMS. You need the other one for BMS.
-
@Icarus Yes I know, but the HF8 does not work with the Simshaker Wings software.
-
@FullMetal_cooKie If it doesn’t work with Simshaker Wings then HF8 won’t work properly with BMS unless HF8 supports BMS. All you will get is all sounds vibrating your seat including voices etc. I tried that with buttkicker on its own. Its weird and not immersive. You need support to weedout the unecessary sounds and enhance the needed sim sounds. Hope you can find a way to get it to work with Simshaker Wings.
-
So I made it work. For Falcon BMS to work with the NLR HF8, you need SIMSHAKER WINGS SOFTWARE. But you also need the SIMSHAKER WINGS OPTION: REALTEUS FORCEFEEL SUPPORT for 12 dollars.
-
@FullMetal_cooKie That’s cool! So it’s really working? Like proper feedback instead of just vibrating to every sound?
-
@FullMetal_cooKie Does it work for all the 8 rotors or just the 6 that was mentioned somewhere. Good to see that yougot it working.
-
@Ricky yes it works with the game’s telemetry and not just the sound.
-
@Obi1 I think there is a payware upgrade for the software to work with more than 6 rotors.
