…..problem with SETUP......
-
Hi there,
This usually happens when you set settings up, and in your logbook you left the pilot to default joe pilot. I recommend to create a new logbook, do your setting up and then save everything with your current logbook.
If this is sill happening after that, i am clueless.

Ah….thanks for the reply, I indeed have the default pilot…might do it!

welcome

Just found out I did set up a pilot, so that cant be it. Still, is there a config file somewhere that saves the Setup??
-
There is a config file in your User/Configuration folder in BMS genreral folder. But that is for the seetings you make in the BMS configuration setup before entering BMS. I am a bit clueless with your problem.
What are the settings that are mixed up ? …

Make your settings, after that go to config folder and set your keyfile and axismappig files to read only
-
Spooky, the Keyfile is not the problem, its the Setup of the Joystick, Throttle, Range, Toe brakes, Sound ( COM1/2/ Intercom etc etc)……for some reason the program loses these once in a while.
-
Aha, i see. I have that issue happening to me sometimes. The reasons i identified for that problem are:
1st … my throttle. Sometimes, my throttle disconnects when i turn BMS on …and all my setings are lost.
2nd reason … is that i have a HOTAS cougar and sometimes i do switch stick with the warthog … and when i do switch stick … i do loose all the HOTAS config. for example UHF comm1 is on the 1st trigger detent etc …
What program do you use for your joystick ? Foxy ? Hotas control panel ?

bms can not remember joysticks ID
so any time you connect with multi joystick ID amongst one is missing, it’s an assured screw upalways ensure your joysticks are correctly set and connected in the same way before launching BMS
it gets worse if you use Dx for obvious reasonsto avoid it - it’s obviously happening mostly for pitbuilders - make sure you backup the config joystick.cal and axismapping.dat files

Thanks all, and thanks RD for the file names, will get them saved….glad I’m not the only one its happening to. The more dials and stuff I interface, the more work though, so a back-up will be handy
