MFD Extractor issue
-
I have used MFD Extractor without issue for a few years now. I extract the L/R MFDs to to separate external screens mounted on TM Cougars using the RTT Remote tool.
Power supply to the external screens failed. (replacement ordered)
On reverting to extraction to my main screen, MFD Extractor displays correctly L/R. Upon staring a TE the L and R MFDs now show segmented portions of the HUD. Reverting to Default does not fix the display.
If someone has an idea I would welcome it. I thought of uninstalling and reinstalling but I cannot locate a current download.
So any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks. -
You might want to switch to “RTTClient64” to extract your MFD’s
It can be found in you BMS tools folder - its not a drag and drop like MFD extractor MFD’s - but it works ok once you take the time to set it up.

Any problems PM me.

@Ironman53rd
Thanks. I will give it a look. -
@Ransom46 I stopped using MFDE for MFDs long ago. RTT is much less trouble. I still use MFDE for gagues server client.

@Icarus
I do the same. My issue stared when my power supply to external screens failed and I attempted to extract MFDs to my main screen using MFDE. That is when the MFDE fails to display properly on my main screen as indicated above.
New power supply installed and RTT is normal on external screens. Regardless, extracting MFDs to main screen issue remains.
Still haven’t found location to install latest version of MFDE. -

Still haven’t found location to install latest version of MFDE.Here we leave you the compilation that we use in our MFDE wing, remember:
Have DIRECTX 9C and VC REDIST RUNTIME C++ 2010 x86 installed
Add the line below in Falcon BMS 4.36\User\Config\Falcon BMS User.cfg
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1

Thanks for the link MFDE downlead. Perhaps when I reinstall it will work as it should. As stated earlier RTT works and always has. -
So with RTT im able to position the orange X’s where i want but i’m not getting and guages like on my other setup. the TM Cougar MFD’s receive the imput just fine. Perhaps i’m missing something in a .cfg or ini.
Looking to bring in the other cockpit guages altimeter, fuel, airspeed… the Steam Guages…
any help always welcome as this quest to build a new sim has started.
I’m running 4.37.3 with the RTT extraction from main menu.
MFD Extraction:
the msi loads, the setup.exe fails with a Direct x 9 error.Kinda frustrated as i have a few hours on this troubleshooting to no resolution.
thanks all -
@windnc60 Try the.msi file.
-
@windnc60 i did and it seems to finish … no errors. but im still not getting the actual start in MFDE to pull the guages.
the tiny icons on right side of sys tray [little green mfd] wont Start, i cannot grab a screen shot…
thoughts? -
Setup has detected that the file ‘C:\Users\windn\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD9916.tmp\Microsoft.DirectX.9c\dxwebsetup.exe’ has changed since it was initially published.
See the setup log file located at ‘C:\Users\windn\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD9916.tmp\install.log’ for more information.

@windnc60 Run as administrator?
-
@windnc60 you bet, i am the only user and as Admin.
-
@windnc60 - going to revert to 4.36 to see if the new main menu GUI makes a difference
-
@windnc60 If it doesn’t open in taskbar its nothing to do with BMS version.
-
@Icarus awesome… cant say thats good news. maybe back to the direct x issue
-
@windnc60 also finding my TM equipment is not quite key mapping properly. TM Warthog throttle and stick and TM pedals. certain switches are simply not mapping. ugh.
-
@windnc60 what version mfde are you using?
-
@Icarus v0.6.3.0
-
@windnc60 Try the modded standalone one.
