X52pro + windows 11
-
Hi. I have a saitek x52 pro. Soon I am getting a new Windows 11 computer.
On the official website there is no software for Windows 11.
What do I need to do? Use and download the Windows 10 software or just plug the x52 pro in to the computer.
Because with a xbox one controller you don’t need to download software. The software is present in Windows 11. -
@m1tp2king just like mouse and keyboard, all modern joysticks are “HID devices” which will just-work when plug them into USB port
you should only need the proprietary software, for things like firmware updates and reconfiguration… some offer features like button-remapping and multiple “profiles” or shift layers
if you’re not using any of those features, I would avoid installing it
Win11 has a new “core isolation / memory integrity” feature which has been variously on or off by default … I think that has caused problems with Saitek (and also TM) software, which attempt to synthesize inputs into the driver stack
But it sounds like that’s currently off by default, now? Haven’t heard anyone complain, in past few months. Maybe MS caved to pressure from gaming community / device mfgrs.

@airtex2019 thanks. But I still don’t understand. Do I need to install the saitek windows 10 software or not, for windows 11?
