X65F ministick fix

Yeah, all directX is the way to go. Glad you got it working

I jumped the gun AGAIN! Damn it!!! A reboot “fixed” the status of the mouseaxis and its back to klpjbfpfjdfjbjdfmsö.d,vgf shit!!!½
I tried to get rid of the ministick being a mouse after doing the regfix 2.1. Its working by creating a profile with the SST and choosing the ministick as unprogrammed, save and then exiting the software. After a reboot the effect is back and the ministick is moving the mousecursor.
It should then be possible to track the registry and point what changes when u set the axis as unprogrammed in sst and exit out and how it is reset at bootup. I´m gonna try to find out. The regfix is solid through several attempts opening Falcon and Dcs but dont survive a reboot.
See ya!

this could be the solution:
Need to find the correct entries for the X65f though.

That link is the same as the regfix jasajas. It will make the ministick show up as directx axes.
The registry fix should only be needed ONCE. it should survive rebooting the PC.
The mouse part, you need the SST running, with a nearly blank profile. The profile needs to have the ministick set to unprogrammed. I was also fond of setting the Mode selector switch to press M, D and C when moved through specific modes, and putting some keyboard commands into the throttle box.
Save the profile, set it to run automatically and then dont mess with it again. End result - stick works, and you dont need to screw with the software. Set everything else in BMS.

Thank you Blu!
I just found out that it is in fact the same. I got the idea that those numbers would stop the ministick from acting as a mouse when the regfix was done. Nope. So what is the SST doing when you set it to have the ministick as unprogrammed? Isnt that possible to achieve without the software? I just hate the SST and would really like to get rid of it for good.
U actually dont need it running…just set the profile with the ministick as unprogrammed and then exit the program and the ministick stops moving the mouse until reboot and running the track IR soft or Falcon setup/advanced/avionicscontrol. Somehow it “wakes” the mousefunction. Tested and confirmed.
Its an awesome hotas so I just have to make the best of it.Cheers!
Jaws!
Thx again -
I dont know if you can do it. IF you can, my best guess would be to try uninstalling the magic mouse driver that Saitek installed when you installed the SST. I believe that driver interfaces with the virtual mouse to move the mouse cursor.
Like I said, the way I dealt with it was to set the SST so that I could set and forget it. If you want to actually remove the SST entirely, I dont know if you can do that. If you can, you will lose the functionality of the throttle box, and the last hat on the throttle.
If youre okay with that, my best guess is to uninstall the drivers and see if that works. Hell try uninstalling the SST software and drivers entirely, then try the stick with just the madcatz drivers and no SST, and no magic HID drivers. Just a guess but it might work.

Thx again.
Magic mouse driver!! Thats something to work with. Thx. I woudnt wanna loose the forcesetting that I´v set, but the rest is out the window without a problem. I´l give it a try.
I´m just really tired of the hang ups that occur when I´m in a radiusturn, fighting a Wowzer keen on blowing me up, at 50ft alt. -
I am not the sharpest knife in the kitchen am I
Works like a charm! I loaded the profile with the mouse as unprogrammed, exited the SST and then uninstalled. Its shure to work the same without loading the profile to stop the mousemovement before but ,yeah.
I´v run Falcon, dcs, Arma with Track IR and rebooted twice and the ministick is working as x and y-axis without moving the mouse.
It became pretty obvious when you mentioned the magic mouse thing that it was linked to the SST-soft, but I as a rather blunt blade wouldnt have made that test without you.
BIG THANKS!
I´l update if there are any problems further on.
